Okay so who here think Hulk should be happy? Sure we now have Coach Dan and he seem to be the Anti-Philbin. He no care about gum wrappers on practice field. Hulk think Coach Dan only want to see blood on practice field. Coach Dan make team hit or he look like he would hit team if they no hit. Sure Coach Dan seems to know you need to run ball more than three times a game. Sure Coach Dan seem to figure out that 31 pass attempts and 32 run attempts seems to be a good balance. Sure it seems Coach Dan figure out if Jamil Douglas and Greg Jennings no play well then they should no start. Sure we no have Coach ReCoyle anymore and suddenly we have pass rush that attacks instead of read and reacts. Sure we now have some guy named Saunders and suddenly there is a fullback on the field and we now run ball under center. So what does Hulk have to be angry about?
Hulk angry because it took 4 of the lamest game performances and 3 of the most mediocre, lackluster and uninspiring seasons of football to figure this out. Hulk angry that Phins figure this out after they start in a 1-3 hole with 2 divisional losses essentially dooming team’s playoff chances in flipping September. Hulk angry because owner took so long to see what everyone here saw for long time. Hulk angry because most of things such as run ball more, use fullback, run from under center, have pass rush attack was all things posted here time and time again. We no talking rocket science, we talking basic football that beer and wing football fans everywhere understand. So why Coach Joe no understand that? Why it take just one week to make it so painfully obvious that the beer and wing fans know more football than Coach Joe. It sad day when your team’s fan blog has more insight to football than your team’s head coach. Hulk angry because he can’t let go of all of team’s failures over the past 3 plus years and enjoy one good day of football. Hulk still in pain and can’t let go. Hulk want to believe in all the good he saw on field on Sunday but Hulk can’t do that just yet. Hulk knows if he does the Phins will just rip his green heart out once again and that is what makes Hulk angriest of all is that Hulk no enjoy this win the way he should. Hulk needs to see Phins play consistent, tough and smart football for many more games before Hulk able to change back to Bruce Banner. Until then Hulk stay angry.

I’ve watched the replay over and over and I honestly just don’t get it. I can’t decide if ya’ll are just homers or I’m taking crazy pills, lol. I suspect the later since I’m the ONLY one who sees it this way and we have a lot of good football minds here.
He catches, hits the ground and as he’s rolling over the ball appears to be moving across his chest into the crook of his left arm where the Tenn guy just takes it (because it’s not in his control). There is a moment you can’t see him as he’s rolling over. Maybe he possess it enough there and it’s an INT… but the way the rules are enforced I think he doesn’t possess it through going to the ground and it’s Tennessee ball. Either way, I KNOW that is a close call, but again, why didn’t they even look at it?
Ok, I said I could do this all day, but honestly I’m tired of it as I’m sure everyone else is. I’m done talking about this.
**latter**
I didn’t really see that play when it happened but looking at that angle, it seems as if brent didn’t maintain control through his motion. But, it could have been one of those “inconclusive’ evidence as to when he was touched by the defender vs when the ball movement started.
Whatever it was, I think that rule that started whenever it did is ridiculous anyway. He has the fucking ball. A RB can barely get the ball over the goal line lose it and it’s a TD. Ghey! LOL
I think its out before the Tenn player takes it
like the split second before the titans player touches it its out
but I think when Grimes first rolls on his back he has possession
some of the stuff about when a player has possession or not is flat out arbitrary
if I saw that happen in a pick up game – i would say “Great INT”
int he NFL I would start ti analyze how long it was in his possession…lol
I would not say that call went our way
that play should be viewed as an INT
but the way the NFL interprets these things makes me shrug when I see it happen
if they ruled it an INT on the field
and it looks like it comes out right before the defender touches it – I’m not sure that is enough to say Grimes didn;t have possession
Piggy, they do things with Sims the other TEs don’t excel at. Cameron has touched on this in some interviews.
The bigger difference was when Cameron went out while Sims was out….or Cameron was hurting, thus we saw Stoneburner play more, he did get 2 TD’s, so not sure it was cut out of playbook, and more like they didn’t keep enough TE’s on the roster.
Hence we saw Dowling get waived & signed Brandon Williams off the the PS.
We need to carry 4 TE’s and 3 active every Sunday…IMO.
I’m going by what Campbell said so take it up with him. LOL
I watched it on my phone, it’s way too small to see the replay. I’ll try and check it out on my PC at home
Your phone is too small to watch replays?
Kong
I’ve never seen a catch reversed when the player appears to have possession as he hits the ground
or maybe I have
but I think at that point it should be a catch
when grimes rolls over on is back he already had possession
I would probably call that play INT, fumble recover by the TN player before I call it a no catch

big words by a Little guy.
“The Bills have marketed their quarter-billion-dollar defensive line comprised of defensive end Jerry Hughes (five-year, $45 million contract signed in offseason), Mario Williams (six-year, $96 million contract signed in 2012) and Dareus (six-year, $96.5 million deal signed in offseason) as the “Cold Front,” which based on results, is an unintended description for the unit.”

Well then I guess the Jills will be pulling a Fins here and they can take our spot in the basement.

I’m not afraid of the Texans anymore, they arent half the team they once where…
Who do they have, JJ Watt
OH I’M SHAKING!
If we plan on being a good team we have to beat the Texans at home. Simple as that.
Yup, the OL has the keep track of JJ Watt. We’ll be fine.
Where’s Clowney been?
Clowney’s playing and getting better each week. Had a lot to overcome with his injury last year.
Texans FO has to be kicking themselves for not drafting Bortles and going with Clowney.
Their QB situation is unsettled at best.
GD, Sims is going to be involved in chipping and doubling Watt.
He better be….don’t need a repeat of 2012 when we played them last?
KC putting a serious beat down on Toronto. Royals lead ALCS 3 games to 1. Hoping Mike E’s Mets put a serious whooping on the Cubs tonight. A Royals-Mets World Series would be fine with this Old Dolfan!!
—————–
IF Cubs somehow win this World Series, they’d be replaced by the CLEVELAND INDIANS as the MLB franchise that has gone the longest time since their last WS title (1948). And to think the Indians were SOOO-O-O CLOSE to beating the Marlins in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series played in the less-than-historic confines of Pro Player Stadium!!
Indians almost beat the Braves in ’95, every game was decided by a 1 run difference except one.
IF Cubs somehow win this World Series, they’d be replaced by the CLEVELAND INDIANS as the MLB franchise that has gone the longest time since their last WS title (1948).

you will appreciate this. i would like to see the cubs hold at home. make it a great series rather then a sweep by the mets. each team wins their home games. you know make it a good series rather then a simple sweep by the mets
Now that is hilarious!
I’m so psyched to be watching the Mets playing meaningful baseball in October. A chance to win a championship. It’s a lot of fun. It’s been a long time.
I’m happy for you guys. I wish I could say the same about the phins playing in January 🙂

Seattle Seahawks running back Fred Jackson wrecked his sports car while drag racing teammate Marshawn Lynch … TMZ Sports has learned.
The accident happened right near the team’s practice facility outside Seattle, and according to witnesses Jackson and Lynch were racing down a straight away on a public street … as they left practice. Fred was in a black Corvette and Marshawn in a red Dodge Charger.
Read more: http://www.tmz.com/2015/10/20/marshawn-lynch-drag-race-fred-jackson/#ixzz3p9zXOqgJ
We’re told Jackson somehow lost control and smashed into a larger planter box, and then a stop sign. Several other players, including Richard Sherman, stopped at the accident scene and attempted to help Jackson out of the car.
Police showed up, but we’re told Seahawks staffers showed up and took Jackson back to the team facility — and Lynch drove off, uninjured. It’s unclear if Jackson suffered any injuries.
Story developing …
young kids with a lot of money racing cars. If they weren’t football players this even wouldn’t be a real story.

they probably took him back to start him on some PED masking agents before he went to the hospital
One of the many reasons baseball just isn’t enjoyable to me: they just clearly showed the Cubs second baseman was not touching the bag when he caught the ball and threw it to first.
*On a double play
I always hated the phantom tag crap too. Yet if the ball touches the out of bounds line or pole then it’s foul. So are there boundaries in the game or not….lol
Yes- more reasons – lol. I think they’d be doing their sport a big favor by taking all calls out of man’s hands and let technology do the job.
Well, I guess I’m a Royals fan now…
That ivy crap has to go. That was 5-2 Mets. Absolute BS! I see MLB is now doing NFL stuff. I’m fucking pissed!!!

A little bit of karma but it should be worse than it is. I’m still like WTF?!!! Seriously!!! You rewarded the Cubs because of ivy on their walls? Are you fucking kidding me?!!!
Lol, there is your 5-2 score, Tim.
oh well this series is god awful. any one that enjoys watch a good game must just so hate this series.

Baseball has ground rules, it is what it is. That’s why in baseball they wear caps…

AND WHEN SHULA BEAT NEW ENGLAND 52-0 for his 100th win as an NFL head coach, I enjoyed each and every minute of THAT, TOO, in 1972!!! Yes, ROB, sometimes a lopsided ass-kicking IS A GOOD THING!!

you need to pay attention. i have said over and over i would rather the fins win 72-0 then a 21-20 game. i was poking fun at tim, he is the one that prefers a ‘good game’ then a blow out. well i guess just with the fins, not when it comes to the mets.

I also recall my Dad pointing out Jackie Gleason, he liked him.
That’s a nice memory to have.
LET”S GO METS!!! One more to go baby!
As a Mets fan I’m scared of the next game(s). Especially now that I see the officiating wants the series to go longer to keep up the interest for a certain fanbase. Im really beginning to hate all pro sports. None of the games were built on cheating or the officials. They can be lost that way though.
Quick fly by for other Mets fans lol.
NEW AGE; There’s a part of me that wants the Cubbies to rally and tie series at 3-3!! THEN, OF COURSE, the Cubbies would get to game 7 in New York with a one run lead in the bottom of the 9th. With a runner on first, David Wright hits a very long fly ball to the wall in left field. Schwarber LOSES the ball in the lights! It comes down, strikes him in the head, and BOUNCES OVER THE WALL FOR THE GAME WINNING TWO-RUN HOMER!! This play, forever known as the “HEADER,” would join “The Goat,” “The Black Cat,” and “Bartman,” in Chicago Cubs’ baseball lore history of frustration!!!
LET’S GO METS!!
New Age
What makes you think the umpiring was favoring the Cubs? The ground rule double is a hard and fast rule, the batter gets 2nd, and the runner in front of him gets 3rd , unless he scores before the ball goes out of play. I thought the Home plate umpire was giving both teams a generous strike zone, and maybe even occasionally giving the Mets some calls.
Not sure about the strike zone stuff and me liking close games is all about. When a player fucks up and is saved by a plant that grows on the wall saves his ass, it annoyed me. That’s the only place in the league where that’s a ground rule double.
I was enjoying the 2-2 game but we broke it open and the plant saved the day. There is a difference. LOL
It’s an anomaly of that park, but the umpire made the right call. I was disappointed too, but there’s no other way to handle that, other than to shear that ivy shit off the walls, but that’s the “charm” of Wrigley field, so it ain’t going anywhere.
Fuck the charm. LOL
It’s just so exciting that our team is so close to being in the world series again, and if we can somehow win this next game, it will give our tired pitchers a little extra rest.
well deserved

tim,
it looked like Albert whiffed on his block but thomas shifted correctly and blocked the guy right before the pass. Kudos to thomas on this play. Her made it possible.
^He
Miller picked the guy up.
yea sorry I meant miller. But thomas picked up the another guy which I think was suppose to be blocked by a TE?
That was a really well thrown ball to stills
That gives me a lot of hope with Tanny
Btw – stills almost cuts back and stay on his feet
If he does that it goes he distance
That was easily the best deep ball I’ve seen Tanny throw, it was right on the money.
He threw two to Hartline that trump that.
How about the throw he made before the half against Buffalo two ago?
I think you are referring to vs Arizona right?
I just made an awesome, ham, egg and cheese sandwich. Sorry Piggy!
Did an ivy plant steal it away?
If it did, I wouldn’t have any recourse. lol
Tim, Al
I’m sure he’s made other good throws, but since it’s most recent, it stands out in my mind as the best. Perfectly in stride, and that’s what you want.
Regarding ground rule doubles, a ball that gets wedged at the bottom of the wall is ruled as such. Doesn’t need Ivy for that but that’s baseball for ya. There are no uniform park rules.
Umpire, umpire, the plant stole it, the plant stole it. Fuck you!!! LOL

Yes. Without Thomas coming back down to pick up the guy coming from the far left side of the video, it’s possible the defender could have jumped/tipped the pass or launch himself freely at Tanny.
yup. great job by both miller and thomas. That was a very critical point in the game. That play gave the momentum back to us and it was over from there on.
I just made an awesome human, egg and cheese sandwich
…take that!
LMAO!!!
The 80 yard TD a few years ago and the 34 yard TD last year to Hartline was two of the best passes I’ve seen from RT, along with that throw he made across his body to Gibson for 40+.
Yeah, that pass across his body was a great throw
I think this was his best throw this year because how critical the play was. It took all the momentum away from the titans.
Agreed.
Tim,
My brother and I were joking last night during the ESPN pregame cock sucking marathon of the Cubs franchise/fans that Mets fans should have paid Steve Bartman to show up 🙂
LMAO!!!!
One thing about Tanny and Matthews; since Matthews has been around, Tanny has always had good chemistry with him IMO. For whatever reason, Tanny anticipates Matthews well.
Yeah and Matthews is pretty reliable catching it and can take a hit.
definitely more reliable this year. I remember last couple of years he had a few critical drops. BUt this year he’s playing like a different man.
Tim / Mike E,
The Jim Breuer Mets recap videos have been hilarious during the playoffs.
Him going off yesterday on the Cubs fans had me dying.
I haven’t seen the others outside of the last L.A. game. I have to check them out. Is he wasted in the others too? LOL

yup. Its a contract year so……
