After a crushing week for the Miami Dolphins, they get to “host” the New Orleans Saints in London at Wembley Stadium. This has been a bizarre season already, with Hurricane Irma postponing Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then flying to Los Angeles to play the Chargers in the Stub Hub Center, in which the capacity is just a little bigger than the Dolphins practice bubble (30,000 capacity). We come out of Los Angeles with a victory by the skin of our teeth as Chargers kicker Younghoe Koo goes wide right attempting the game winning 44 yard FG. Then we travel to New Jersey to face what everyone thought was the “tanking” NY Jets, the team seeking to get the 1st pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Well, surprise-surprise! These NY Jets came to play, and though the Dolphins fanbase was present, with Dolfans NYC representing well with over a 1000 screaming Dolfans, along with the many other Dolphins fans that went on their own, they were all soon drowned out by a throaty NY crowd that smelled Dolphins blood in the water. Attendance at Met Life was 77,562, and it was reportedly quite loud, especially compared to the paltry capacity of the Stub Hub Center in Cali.

The Dolphins offense was completely over matched in all facets against the jets this past weekend. We tried to run the ball, but there was no room anywhere, as the jets made it a priority to shut down Ajayi. When we gave up on the run game, and became one dimensional, neither jay Cutler, nor the O-line were up to the task, and the Jets defense that had previously swarmed Ajayi on every run was now all over Jay Cutler. Cutler was sacked 3 times, but he was hit at least 3-4 times that during the game. It was a bad game for Cutler, a bad game for the O-line, and a bad game for the defense, so basically, we got whipped in every area we could. The Saints are coming off a blowout 34-13 win against the Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton was worse than jay Cutler, throwing 3 INT’s and zero TD’s and our old Friend Ted Ginn Jr. caught a 40 YD TD for the Saints.
What can we expect from our team, who has had the strangest beginning to the 2017 NFL season? I haven’t any idea. Thankfully, the Saints don’t possess the defensive talent the NY Jets have. They’re not horrendous, but they don’t have quite the talent of the Jets front 7. The Saints play the 4-3 defense, led by LDE Cameron Jordan, 2nd year and former 1st RD pick (#12) DT Sheldon Rankins at DT, along with Tyeler Davidson and RDE Alex Okafor. The Saints do have a quality LB in rookie Alex Anzalone (WLB), and fill it out with AJ Klein (SLB) and Craig Robertson (MLB). Klein was picked up as a FA from Carolina, and Robertson picked up as a FA from Cleveland, so like Miami, they’re trying to throw pieces together to make it work. Incidentally, as you all know, Stephone Anthony who the Dolphins traded for last week for a 2018 5th RD draft pick will get a chance to face his former team, as will WR Ted Ginn Jr. The Saints have a decent secondary with corners Marshon Lattimore and PJ Williams, along with safeties Kenny Vaccaro and Marcus Williams.
The Saints offense is the strength of their team, led by QB Drew Brees, a fine young WR in Michael Thomas, the aforementioned WR Ted Ginn Jr., a good TE in Coby Fleener (AKA FleenAH), and a stable of capable RB’s including Mark Ingram, former Vikes great Adrian Peterson, and promising rookie Alvin Kamara. The Saints so far are averaging 24.3 PPG, and are 3rd in the NFL in passing yards averaging 378.3 YPG. See a problem there? We just made an all-pro out of Josh McCown, so what will Drew Brees and the Saints offense do to us? First of all, we have to have significantly better balance on offense. Actually, forget balance, we just need to run the ball down their throats the entire game. Ajayi is hurting, but he only had 11 carries this week, and I’d bet he’s hungry to have a big game. I would also guess that we don’t want to put the game squarely on Jay Cutler’s severely diminished arm (Ha!), so this beleaguered O-line gets a shot at redemption by pushing the Saints defense all over the field. This a “home” game, so hopefully we take advantage of that. On defense, we get a boost from the return of LB Lawrence Timmons from suspension, so hopefully his presence gives us a jolt. The Saints packed up and left for London Sunday night after a celebratory dinner. The Dolphins will be traveling to London on Friday. We’ll see which strategy pays off.
GO DOLPHINS! Zero in!
I know UK Fin Fan will be in attendance this Sunday, so let’s hope for his sake the Dolphins give him and us a great football Sunday! We need it!

Lets start with the most important thing……if UK Fin is there then it is a home game. Plus for whatever reason the Phins are one of the most popular teams in the UK. We’ve been there often enough but for whatever reason has always been true.
Nice write Mike E. Ajayi will want to put on a show in London.
Or maybe should have started with a well-done write. And you are right…..it is the D that faces the test when we all wake up early Sunday. Time for the O to show it. Saints have given up over 400 yards per game….turn it loose.
Good Job, Mike.
Like I said on the other page, Timmons owes his team and the fans a big game in London. That is the best way to really get back in good graces.
Is this game nationally televised?
I just looked it up it’s on Fox at 9:30am. Cool!
Man I hope our offense puts up a lot of points. It’s just going to be tough doing shots while drinking my coffee at 6:30am. I’m willing to step up though.
LOL
What time is the game aired?
How do we watch it? It’s not that stupid Internet streaming is it?
Good points Stanger and Doggy! London seems to like us, and yes, Ajayi will want to wow his home crowd.
Game is on Fox at 9:30AM – Not sure whether it’s a nationally televised game or not though.
It is in our area, I just looked it up.
That’s good, and bad. Read below
I know at least 99-101% of you couldn’t give a rats ass about video quality, but I do, and WTF is up with Fox broadcasting in 720P as opposed to 1080i like every other station? It looks like absolute garbage on a 4K TV. It’s 2017 you bastards, get with the damn program! I’m not going to protest the NFL, I’m going to protest FOX!
Hmmm, I don’t remember there being an issue watching games of Fox.
LOL @ games of Fox.
You should take a knee then eat a Snickers 🙂
I’ll already have been up for 7 hours before the game anyway. NBD.
We better win
imagine how much griping there will be here if the game ends around noon
It will be a disaster
Lol..that’s a lot of time to get cranky-drunk …..dranky?
Where do you think he grabbed them?
Some folks in the UK created an emoji for Ajayi to honor him playing at Wembley.

I like it
but it looks like a scarf on his head
They tried at least…..”Fans need only use the hashtag #JayTrain to produce a special emoji of Ajayi.” Up to you.

#firstworldproblems. 😂
My take on that… I had Sunday ticket for years. Now I have a laptop hooked up to my tv and stream the games for free. Frankly, the last game, the clarity of the picture wasn’t what bothered me. Would have bothered me more to know I paid to watch it. So there’s that.
Budweiser is pulling advertising from the NFL due to protesting.
You sure? There was a rumor about that before, but seems if now true should be big news.
http://www.snopes.com/budweiser-pull-advertising-nfl-national-anthem-protest/
My wife told me a friend of hers who works for them told her that.
Maybe you have the inside scoop on what will happen.
No idea Stanger, there are so many false reports and fake news these days.
Expect horrible ratings for this week’s games 😁 and smaller crowds at games. Hit em in the wallet and let’s see how important the protest really is. If Trump shouldn’t get involved in private business, then the NFL shouldn’t get involved in politics.
The NFL is already involved in politics. The President is already involved in private business, but the way he handled it recently was wrong. It’s sad that you’re openly cheering for people’s livelihoods to be ruined because they value free speech and personal freedom.
SB7, there are a lot of people in this country that don’t like their flag disrespected. It’s just the way it is.
Great post SB7, you’re on point with this one!
Free speech, freedom and the way we spend our hard earned $$ goes both ways
Budweiser might pretend, but that’s all they have on us little guys…their ability to afford in game national NFL broadcast advertising. They aren’t going to pull their ads, the cost of losing more market share to us microbreweries is too high.
I think my wife’s friend who I found out used to work for Budweiser read a false report, doesn’t have insider info. I’m so sick of fake news.
I just hope they were standing when they made these cans
What am I supposed to do after drinking it?
Don’t tell me to recycle it you commie libtards!!!
Tim,
I had a cousin who went fishing with a guy who looked like Michael Dukakis. He once told him that the government was involved in a plot to turn cupcakes into tools of mind control.
That was very original. LOL
I had a fat prick in my office tell me that I am un-american if I watch football this weekend because I should boycott the NFL because of the protests. I just stared at him for a second…..then he blinked and said that’s right your fucking Canadian get the hell out of my office.
You should walk around saying eh after everything. LOL
he’s a band wagon Pats fan from Michigan. I told him the NFL will not notice there loss.
Rob, why are you still posting here? This is a Miami Dolphins (NFL) blog. i thought you were boycotting everything NFL for some stupid reason. that should include this site too.

__________
Steve — that would be awesome. Just being selfish but would love to be able to pick up cheap tickets for games. Would also give us better Fest tickets next year at a cheaper price. Not like the NFL is going to go out of business or anything. And ratings last week were down 4% from week 3 in 2016. We can only hope.
At some point you have to say enough with the skyrocketing prices. I went to TMobile Arena yesterday to buy Vegas hockey tickets. The cheapest they had for the Panthers game, non upper deck was $160. You know how many I bought? Think of Ditka and IQ.
“Zero, thats your IQ buddy”
Right — part of why am hoping you are right that NFL prices go down. Think we would all love that…..would be great if us football fans could get a break on prices. So again hoping you are spot on with your prediction.
I’m hoping after our game is played they cancel the rest of the games and make them use their bye week for the makeup game 😁
Tim,
Those people don’t own the flag and no one is disrespecting it in this instance. The flag represents every American, not just the fake patriotic people or the military. What’s being done isn’t justified.
Agreed
Theyve taken the lazy route and dont really care about what theyre protesting. Do something constructive instead. These guys could easily sent up a meeting with their congressman. Mostly the players are just followers.
This isn’t true.
Tell that to them not me. You can’t deny people feel that way whether you agree with it or not. I know many people who are boycotting. They were already tired of a lot of the players’ acts on and off the field and this was a last straw for them. I’m not boycotting because it doesn’t really offend me. I don’t think it makes much sense nor will it have any effect on anything just like most protests don’t. After all the women’s marches, what’s changed?
Rock, are you really Canadian or was that guy just dumb? Lol
I was born in Montreal CA but I have lived here in the US my entire life. The only reason I am not a US citizen is because of the cost and hassle of getting my citizenship. (I do not have a birth certificate. It cost me going on 20K so far to get and keep my green card, but they want MORE paperwork to get my citizenship)
but that’s all they have on us little guys…their ability to afford in game national NFL broadcast advertising.
well, that and between them and one other big distributor controlling 99% of the beer trade in the US that is.
People were dumping tv anyway, it’s a trend called cord cutting. The internet has changed the way we watch football, along with many other things in life. The NFL will survive if they lose some racist tv fans, or people that value trump over their existing life.
The NFL has been around over a hundred years, and hasnseen a lot of adversity , but it is America’s number one sport!
Oh so youre labeling some racists, because why, they don’t want politics and flag disrespect in the NFL? It’s such BS the way the word racist has been used since the start of the election. What the left has done is nullified it’s meaning, because everyone that doesn’t agree with them is one.
It’s not about racism David. I know many people boycotting and they’re not racists. It also doesn’t have much to do about Trump for them. See my post above to SB7.
What’s your stance on patriotism David? Should we just go globalism?
My stance on patriotism is spelled out in the constitution, and I believe in the pledge of allegiance, Liberty and Justice, FOR ALL!
That’s a surprise. The swamp has really done a number on you.
Are globalism and patriotism now in conflict with each other in the world according to Bannon?

The return of Lawrence Timmons, shot by the peerless @CTJPhoto
I hope Timmons kicks ass Sunday!
Looks like he is winded already. Wake looking like no problem, having a good time, Timmons looking beat with his hands on his hips.
Yeah, the DL look fresh and fit, and Timmons looks huge and winded.
He’s just wearing baggy shorts and his jersey isn’t tucked. LOL
I highly doubt he’s so out of shape in two weeks.
Word has it Malauaga also dressed in practice today
So we finally have our full compliment of LBs
I really want to see Anthony play
Gase said Malauaga’s conditioning has improved but he’s dealing with a minor injury, ankle or something.
So our LBs are now Allen, Alonso, Anthony, Hull, Malauaga and Timmons.
he looks like some one who has been eating 12 times a day
Steve, the constitution and pledge isn’t the swamp, it’s the USA, its who We always have been as a nation.
If we don’t like this nations problems, we can address them, and come up with REAL solutions, instead of disparaging and dehumanizing them, hoping they will go away
But thats not what the players are doing. 99% of protesting is BS and accomolishes nothing.
Most of what they are currently protesting, is being called sons of bitches by a racist.
Originally the protests were about police brutality against blacks
I don’t think it makes much sense nor will it have any effect on anything just like most protests don’t. After all the women’s marches, what’s changed?
DING DING DING
I agree with “I don’t think it will have any effect”
The message has been lost in the hooplah. Most don’t even know what the protest is about and have turned it into a protest against the protesters.
I wonder why it’s so important to distract from the message 🤔
I call it the thin veil over the White sheet
Kaepernick started it about police brutality against black people.
I remember. But I would guess most do not.
I’ve heard plenty of people suggest the protester don’t know what they are protesting and I’m guessing that is pure projection
Talk about commitment
The swamp? ROFLMAO! The biggest gator is running the show now. Nepotism? No problem they won’t take salaries from the government so you cant call it nepotism. (they will only use their in-side knowledge to make MILLIONS outside the government) Cronyism? Peeshaa look who he filled posts with. the swamp is deeper and darker than it ever has been.
I was trying not to laugh, lol respectful debate, but yes, the swamp creatures are currently rampant
Oh come on…Steve Mnuchin only worked for Goldman Sachs for a few decades
Exactly my wall breaking friend.
Tim,
I know they feel that way. They’re still wrong. I’m just pointing it out.
I don’t know that you can say being sick and tired of certain actions are wrong. It’s a feeling an a opinion. Lots of people boycotted MLB after that last strike and they suffered for years. It’s a choice just like not standing for the anthem.
If I said that everyone of your posts were racist because that’s my opinion or that’s how I feel or would you say I was wrong? These people aren’t framing the conversation as their feelings or opinions. They are stating accusations as facts. I’m surprised you’re taking this stance.
I already explained why the people I know are doing it. They were already kind of fed up with the game and this was the last straw. It’s no longer fun and an escape from everyday life for them. It’s not my stance, it’s theirs and I’m just sharing what I know about why some people are boycotting. My only stance would be is you can’t tell people to watch and support something they don’t want any part of anymore.
The swamp people are those that are lifers, they’ve made a career out of politics and are in it to get rich and powerful, instead of serve the public.
As opposed to people in the private sector who never held a job in public service and are rich and powerful?
I just don’t get it
I don’t get why people buy into it I mean
Don’t watch the NFL or sports
Don’t watch fake news
Don’t watch Hollywood and the limousine liberals
No sports, no news and no arts!
These right wing pundits are cornering the market. The only thing to watch is them and what they allow in their bubble.
Criticism. I’m all for it. But you can watch with a critical eye. Don’t boycott or stop watching stuff. I just think that’s crazy. What’s left to enjoy in life?
I just hope porn is not next
😝
A lot of people take a knee in porn 🙂
Or in your case hump the couch pillows
😜
It’s what North Korea life is like, no distractions, just give all praise to the supreme leader 24/7

Lawrence Timmons ask directly twice if this won’t happen again. He gives the same answer “I’m happy to be here.”
Though I’m not a fan of Trump, nor did I vote for him and I find him irritating, what I find to be even worse is BS propaganda about the guy.
Can someone produce a video of Trump supporting white supremacy? And I’m not talking about the time he said all the groups behaved badly in Charlottesville. Because I can provide video of him condemning white supremacy a dozen or so times going back to the 90’s.
He’s a god damned propaganda machine. Does it not strike you interesting that 9 months into his 1st year of his first term he’s making announcements about black people’s protest in the NFL from a CAMPAIGN RALLY????
Jahn, it’s current events and he’s the president. The NFL protests happen to be happening into his 9th month.
So being there is no video of him supporting it and he was not known as a racist before running for president, just saying it over and over makes it true. That some scary shit.
Listen the guy is brash and a jerk, but I’ve seen this nonsense before from the losing party. Basically since Bill Clinton, the opposing side of the president has wanted to impeach every president since. The office is no longer respected.
So whatever he says is just true, and his actions mean nothing? That’s what you’re arguing.
White supremacists have a history of hiding under sheets for a reason. Overt statements are hard to defend. Subversive and pervasive attitudes accomplish the same goal with a built in plausible deniability.
David,
It’s good to see ya here, Brah! I don’t endorse your political views, but nonetheless, you are my Brah!
An award show self aggrandizing? Uh…yes. That’s what they’re for. Same as a trophy ceremony, same as an inauguration, same as a graduation. Same as a wedding. Same as a bris, same as a birth announcement……everyone’s entitled to their opinions but my opinion is that people should be proud of what they accomplish/create/achieve.
Self-aggrandizing also means the feeling of self importance especially when they start ranting about issues that have nothing to do with the award. I said I find them lame and a lot of stuff that gets said is stupid. LOL

Side note that I think is interesting and doesn’t fan any flames:
Trump sued the NFL when the USFL folded for being a monopoly and lost badly. Now he’s calling out the NFL at a campaign rally (campaign rally!) as the POTUS.
If you believe revenge is a dish best served cold…this would be brilliant executed…..
its always personal with him
also had bankruptcy issues in PR
Like many people have said and believe, he’s a jerk. I know people who worked in the city back in the 80’s who be at gatherings or whatever with him and some of them said he’s an asshole.
Herd
I have to things that I care about to a ridiculous extent. Sound and video. I was told I could get one of those Amazon Firesticks, and get it reprogrammed, or Unlocked, or whatever they call it, and I’d be able to see any movie, and any sporting event, but not always in high quality, usually poor quality. I say FUCK IT! I’m not going to spend 3 hours watching blurry video with tinny -ass sound. That’s my issue, not everyone’s, and I understand that. I want the best possible picture I can get, and I also want the best sound, and I’m willing to pay to get it. We all have our hangups, that’s two of mine.
Jahndoh what you said before is what I call the thin veil over the White sheets. You were very articulate btw, lol

Jahndoh30 says:
September 27, 2017 at 3:35 pm
So whatever he says is just true, and his actions mean nothing? That’s what you’re arguing.
I never said that. There’s a difference in being a racist and a brash egomaniac. When Trump first announced he was running for president, I never heard anything about him being a racist. I never heard anything about him being a racist throughout the years. I thought he was running for president for publicity because he likes to be seen and heard, he really digs himself. Then once it got real, the propaganda got going. There are many black people who have known him for years who have come out saying they don’t think he’s a racist. The guy has been praised over the years for providing jobs for minorities by minority groups. I guess he really bamboozled them.
It’s mostly left-wingers that are still hurting from the loss that keep the racism thing going.
I also have no idea why he keeps having rallies, he won. Oh wait yes I do, he loves to be seen and heard.
The birther movement was racist and completely made up by him
His August 2016 statement about people coming from Mexicans was racists :
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people”
Its not a made up thing. Its very real and not a product of losing in November
I was calling him racists well before November myself…lol
Not saying what he said was okay or very smart. That doesn’t mean he’s racist though. Other presidents have had the same concerns and spoke about it, they just articulated it a lot better. Like I’ve said he’s brash.
What does racism mean to anyone anymore? People think stereotypes like food and beverage is racist and it’s not. It’s how it’s used.
By the way Piggy, some bad people have come over the borders from Mexico and Central America including many MS-13 members that are a problem in LI, NY which you’re not far from. There is some truth to what he said just like there is some truth that islamic terrorists can come in as refugees. Ignoring reality is more dangerous than brash words.
Obama did the exact same thing in holding rally after rally after being elected president. Think the left ever said anything about as much? Hell nah! How convenient that the radical leftists only now make this observation about Trump.
I’m so sick of politics anymore. *sigh*
Never heard Trump was convicted of refusing to rent to blacks? Never heard Mexican rapists, and Mexican judges can’t rule effectively? Never heard of how he treats his employees at golf courses? Never heard of him claiming he doesn’t know David Duke, Nazi torch bearers are fine people?
Never heard of him saying OUR flag, at an all white Luther strange rally and call black players sons of bitches?
I left out women, disabled, and other minorities, and much more, but the racist pattern is there for all to see, If they look
I’ve heard all this, please provide the videos uncut so we can discuss the context in which he said it and not buzz words.
I can’t believe I’m spending this much time on defending Trump as a racist. But I did the same thing when people slandered Obama so fair is fair. LOL
Jahn,
I was going to make that point as well.
I am shocked at all the dialogue going on in so many different circles of life over the NFL. It seems like everyone is ready explode. It’s crazy, I just don’t get why people are so wound up about it. I know some people who are against the protest that can only see one side of it. I was explaining to a coworker yesterday, how when Kenny Stills and a couple of other Dolphins players protested for the first time and took a knee during the Anthem, how mad I was. I went on to explain how Stills, along with Tony Dungy and a few other former players and current players have had meetings with inner city police, and are DOING something POSITIVE, getting a dialogue started on how to fix America, one city at a time. It’s NOT just an EMPTY GESTURE! It has legs, and it’s moving, and that’s a good thing. I can’t imagine how anyone can see it otherwise, I just can’t. Change is needed, the inner cities are constant cycle of failure, poverty, drugs and death for far too many, and if they can fix that, who the fuck could possibly be against that? Please tell me . . . .
So Mf13… Any Dolphins news ?
Timmons threw up. lol
The puke is M.I.A. now
Hope he yacked in technicolor for you in case they caught it on camera. LOL
would you believe he puked in stealer colors…that mutherfucker!!!
Better than talking in circles about politics. 🙂
we’ve kind of gone way off the rails today
On a crazy train?
Also, people are making an incredible mistake in stating that Trump is standing up for anything other than himself. He’s not defending the country or the flag. This is purely personal on a multitude of levels.
Very true, he’s always been about himself, and fuck everyone else
I agree with that. He does little or nothing without an agenda that serves him. Basically, what any politician does.
I agree, most serve there own self interest
actually most people do (Cynic admission by me)
but in his case, he crosses some really loathsome areas that I do not think is the norm in politics
Anybody that thinks Trump is doing anything for them or for the country has been completely hoodwinked. Everything he thinks, does, plans, says, or works towards is in the pursuit of whatever is best for the almighty Trump. Egotistical narcissist doesn’t even begin to plumb the depths of who he is, lol.
Damn, I went six words over my allotment of political commentary for the week.
Glad Timmons is back. Can he start at QB?
Or oline?

Yacking in 4K is awesome. I’d watch anything in 4K. lol
you have to get up at 9:30 to see all the glory of the technicolor vomit
Piggy – I’m old dude, I wake early in the morning every day, even when I don’t have to. It SUCKS! I just cant sleep late anymore.
Better than having to wake up at 6:30. The NFL screws us west coasters with these stupid London games.
Kong – That blows, although I’m sure I won’t be getting up much later than that. I wouldn’t on the other hand, want to have to get up to watch football that early.
Lol, yeah, it really sucks. Like you, I don’t sleep very late, 8:30 is usually the latest, but 6:30 is too much.
I just want to know when you guys have time to read these thick fantasy books when you’re on this blog all the time. Lol. Also, I just found out 15 minutes ago that today isn’t Thursday.

I wake every day at 5am. I cannot help it. I TRY to stay in bed but just toss and turn until I have to pee so bad I have to get up anyway. Getting old SUCKS! It IS better than the alternative, up to a point.

Tim
Without getting into detail, leading up to the election, I had a few friends that worked with him and none of us had anything positive to say.
but that is just kind of personal and not a basis IMO to really support or oppose some one. There is so much more I don’t like about him
I just want to know when you guys have time to read these thick fantasy books…
I take an hour to myself every day. Usually around 6:30-7:30 to unwind after work. SOMETIMES I will read again later in the evening if there isn’t anything good on TV (which is like 5 days a week, see my post about reality TV above)
We all know Trump is an egomaniac. That’s not really debatable. LOL
Mike the 5am thing is habit from working construction and construction management all my life. The only time I “sleep in” is when I lay my head down at 2-3 am after drinking all night. (which is seldom to never nowadays because I just cant drink like I used to)
^
doubt everything in the parenthesis
it’s the truth! I cannot drink like I used to!
I USED to be able to go to work, work a 10 hour shift with overtime, go home and take a shower, go to “dinner” and get some drinks and then go to the “club” until they closed at 2am, then go to the after hours club and then go to work. (sleep an hour in the car before my foreman would wake me up)
“If you still have your god damn dancing shoes on you are fucking digging ditches today”
I dug a LOT of ditches. LOL
Let’s all give Timmons credit for arriving in London
Its a huge step for him to actually arrive..
I don’t think they’re in London yet.
Are you saying there is still a chance he parachutes out of the plane?
I hope they didn’t fly over Pittsburgh
I get the sense that Timmons went AWOL for a very good and personal reason. He’s always been a consummate professional and our Phins seem to LOVE him.
AWOL cannot be tolerated, so he was suspended… as he should have been. That it was only one game is also telling, meaning that he wasn’t on some Aaron Hernandez-esque mission, CTE affected, or outright throwing the towel in on our team.
Why did he show up at the Stealers* camp? My best guess is that he was seeking advice from someone there who may have connection/history/commonality to his “baby mama” situation.
If our FO, coaches, and teammates welcome him back with open arms after a mere 1-game suspension, that’s all the more I need to know. It’s a private (perhaps embarrassing) matter.
WELCOME BACK, LAWRENCE TIMMONS!!!
GO PHINS!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
So Sunday my MIL had my kids, and my wife was at work, so I went to her house to watch the game by myself because as a family we’ve cut the cord on cable. Anyway, I couldn’t find the game anywhere so I tried watching the Redzone channel, but the thing about watching the Redzone channel is that there has to be highlights of a game to show.
Since the game was terrible, I wasn’t able to see a thing so I decided to just leave and go home and in the midst of packing up my phone charger and whatnot, I didn’t grab my keys before locking the door and walking out. So there I am on the carport and it’s cold and pouring down rain and I don’t even have my car keys to get in my car to go home and on top of that I have to urinate.
The cold and rain just keeps making it worse so I try to find a place to alleviate the situation, but I couldn’t because I’m paranoid and thought someone would be out with a cellphone and catch me on camera. I ended up having to call my wife to come unlock the door, but stand there in misery before she showed up. It was caca icing on a cupcake made of Timmon’s vomit.
There’s not a point to the story other than to switch the conversation. This is probably also the longest post I’ve made so there’s that.
LMAO!!!
sb7mvp, I also am a pretty prolific reader and have high reading comprehension. I can finish a 500 page book in a week at an hour – hour and a half per day. So in about 9 hours I can get through a whole book.
Finally caught up from the last blog. Good stuff from too many to mention. The exaggeration and rhetoric from both sides is exhausting. I’m with many of you in thinking that something positive can come from all this if people will just shut up and listen to each other for a change.
Oh, and Trump is a clown. That is all.
Peace.

Just like the KKK doesn’t represent me, I don’t think Miko represents all black people.
—————————————–
Jahn i didn’t say anything about her representing all black people i said that she represents a quotient of black people that are not looking for a solution. I also said there are a group of whites on the other side that also have no desire to work things out. It was clear in my post i wasnt saying she represented all black people.
Sometimes it feels like you dig hard to make the worst out of tings i say….is that what you say when you read it, or did you decide what you thought i meant?
I was using her statement as a representation of why we are having such a hard time seeing eye to eye. The most vocal of people are swaying more impressionable ones with their rhetoric, they do it from a place of celebrity which pulls people into their viewpoint which is vile and racist. It breeds dissension.
This int trying to paint all black people as bad not indicate they are the source of the problem, so i really don’t understand your reply unless you somehow twisted what i said so much that’s what you came out of it with.
These sorts of topics get off track quite often with people not really getting what you’re getting at. It can be difficult at times. Like me not thinking Trump is a racist does not mean I think he goes about things the right way. Two different things.
I didn’t like a lot of Obama’s approach on some issues but I never thought he was anti-American. People have different ideologies on how to go about things.
I don’t think her point of view is very common
I think most people, black, white or whatever, realize she is a hack
its a really extreme ignorant POV

We have Stephone Anthony now, gave up a 5th for him, and he is on a rook contract through 2018. If I was Rey Maualuga would get in shape and if was TImmons would want to be bashing it hard on the field. Anthony is the reaction to what both have shown.
Gase said they’ve been in talks with the Saints about Anthony for some time. I think Timmons did speed up the process though.
Especially sped it up after they knew based on what Timmons did that he is cutable next year. Whatever was in the contract….he lost millions in guaranteed money, according to Mando at least.

White supremacists have a history of hiding under sheets for a reason. Overt statements are hard to defend. Subversive and pervasive attitudes accomplish the same goal with a built in plausible deniability.
——————————————-
I really dont know what he is. Part of me says his statements have indicated yes, but i also know his statements come out of nowhere and they incite attention towards him, so im not 100% sure he is lucid. I think he could be imbalanced and what comes out of him might be whatever strikes him at the time. A bi-polar would do a lot of the same things he does when they are manic. Borderline personality disorder is another one that comes to mind.
I think in the end, its not so much about determining if he is a white-supremacist, as it is unfit for the position. No matter which side of that coin he is on, he kind of needs to go. I think Tim is right thought, if you cant prove it, calling him out for being one, doesn’t help your position, it more makes you look like you just hate him. Unfit to me accurately describe it, and i don’t really think there are ways around disproving that statement or making it seem like irrational hatred.
Think about it this way, there are many people who think the Clintons have offed people that could expose them. That doesn’t come from nowhere, but nobody has proven it either.
It was Hillary or the Hillary indirectly through her backers (Trump being one) that began circulating the birther stuff anyways, it started during the primaries. It continued after, because people latched on to it thinking they had something to shut him down. Bill and Hillary both tried to use it to discredit Obama so she could get the nomination and then backed out of it when she didn’t, they made inflammatory remarks about Obama all he way through until they had to party up.
I’m talking about murder going back to when Bill was president. But you’re right about how everyone backs off on what they say in primaries when it’s time to support the party. That is one of the things that disgusts me about politics and elections. No principles.

New: Dolphins players, from Cutler to Landry to OL, bemoan team’s deplorable offensive performance this season:
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article175747901.html

The Flying Pig says:

The birther movement was racist and completely made up by him
His August 2016 statement about people coming from Mexicans was racists :
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people”
Its not a made up thing. Its very real and not a product of losing in November
I was calling him racists well before November myself…lol
————————————————
Birther movement wasnt necessarily racist, im sure some of those who piled on to it might have been racist, but it was unquestionably inflammatory and meant to discredit him from being able to hold that position. That was a personal attack. Remember, Trump was a democrat when that was going down and he was using it to get Hillary the nomination, its just a tactic he uses to get what he wants, and in that case it was more people to vote for her. Hell Bill Clintion brushed up against that same thing from time to time before the Democrats officially nominated him and he had to make good.
Those statements about Mexicans were just stupid, but again, he didnt say all mexicans are criminals, he said all the ones “being sent here” were. I dont really even know how you can justify his assertion anyways, Mexico isnt sending them, they are coming over. If Mexico was indeed “sending them over” as Cuba did during the 80’s (well at least a few ships worth of them were sent, a lot fled here) you might say that they deliberately pawned off criminals on us, but thats just not the case. I still dont see it as a racist statement, it was a bombastic statement that served the purpose to legitimize his claim that we needd to kick them out and build a wall.
I am with Tim i have seen a lot of him showing signs of racist behavior but not a lot of hard proof of it. He certainly doesnt mind stading close to the ones that have been accurately painted as one, and the paint seemingly has rubbed off a little on him, but there isnt a “ah ha i got ya” you could use to prove it.
Again, its not necessary to prove anyways, its not that they would get him impeached, its the continual fuck ups that start to tear down this country that would get him impeached and he is doing those just fine and with not doubts when you look at the destruction in his wake.
I use the word brash to describe him and maybe people don’t think that’s a stronger enough word but it actually is a pretty strong word.
“self-assertive in a rude, noisy, or overbearing way.”
To me that’s what he is.
David Duke ran for president in 1988 and didn’t hold back on saying he believes the white race is a superior race. Hardcore racists don’t hide it, they’re proud of it.
use the word “racist” going forward….lol
If some one exploits racism to get a result – they are racists as well
I’m sure some slave owners were in slavery solely for the economic benefit
the birther movement is directly racist. I really don’t think any other argument is reasonable. The fact that he reaped the political benefits of using it doesn’t make it any less racists
his Mexican argument is also directly racist. Its not stupid. Its calculated. Its a dog whistle to other racists. Saying a group of people are criminals but for some exceptions is not judging people by the character of their person, its judging them by their background and that’s what racism essentially is.
I think if these 2 things happen with any person and you don’t call them racist for it, you have a unachievable threshold for what defines some one as racist. These are both pretty bad and have no place in a civilized society
I already said earlier what I think racist means. What you’re talking about to me is rude and lacking tact. I never said I liked the way he went about it. That’s the main reason I don’t like him and didn’t vote for him. I didn’t think he’d be a uniter and here we are.
So well said Piggy. Well said.

————————————————-
I wish that was true, but look at the replies to it.
twitter replies aren’t a great way to gage the average american’s point of view
Piggy the Clintons reaped the initial benefit from it. Are they racist? Donald Trump did pick it up again, and used it to rally support for him from the people that hated Obama. It doesnt mean though those people were racist, there were people that hated Obama and had nothing to do with him being black, especially after the second term. I do agree with you though, your argument is pretty sound, like a proof by associated truths, that if he knew he would be rallying racists, you could consider it a racist move.
Likewise for the statement about Mexico sending criminals. If he knew he was rallying racists, it would be a racist move, but there were also a lot of people who just feel illegal immigration is wrong and its not on a racial level, some are fearful for their safety from some, not all illegals, because whether or not ALL illegals were criminals, some were so maybe he struck a cord of fear for their support and not racism.
I understand your perspective and i admit i didn’t see your angle to start with at all. Still i convinced myself through taking your perspective and looking at it that this can be considered a lock down argument. Its a good one, but its not logically infallible. You have to see that a lot of the reasons your calling it that is because you believe him to be a racist to start with. I lean that way myself, but Tim is right here. There isn’t definite proof of it, and like i said before you have an ever increasing proof of unfit to be president, which IMO is good enough.
Its more a thing of piling on to get attention from the celebrity….
“You are 100% correct Jennifer Lawrence, every third baby int he world should be sacrificed to the bacon god. You are such an amazing person….wanna fuck”
lol, i mean twitter does have a lot of that, but the question is are they swayed by the star struck stare, do they start to believe it to be closer to them, or do they just say that so they might tweet back. Im not sure which but even a hack like her gets TONS of replys in agreement or sometimes ven taking that rhetoric and amplifying it. This current generation really has a hard time with their own thought and rationality, they almost seem in need of someone to always give them what they should believe. Its scary and pretty sad.
Just saw on FB one of the many news feeds (Faves USA) about a recently fired firefighter for saying anyone who kneels should be shot in the head. So what is the image they use, a created montage of Kaepernick and Trump. This is the BS we’re dealing with these days.
Fired isn’t quite as violent as shot in the head, but neither consequence is just.
I can understand the firefighter being fired for what he said, that’s how things are done these days. What he said was asinine.
D,
I promise you I wasn’t digging hard to make the worst of what you said, and I promise that I never have. I argue, in my opinion, convincingly sometimes, and it makes people on other sides of the issue uncomfortable. But…that’s ok. Because sometimes, people like yourself, argue convincingly as well and it makes me uncomfortable. It’s not an attack and I never take it that way. There are others that are entrenched, and I know that I’ll never convince them to see things my way. Those are the ones I give up hope on and move on.
I actually have a tremendous amount of respect for you and your opinions. When it comes to religion or politics, we don’t always see eye to eye, but I’ve rarely come across someone as rational, fair and open minded as you representing a counterargument. For that I’m extremely grateful to you.
I just think Miko is less famous then David Duke, and he’s hardly national news anymore. In a nutshell, I try to put the extreme voices out of the discussion and focus on the merits of the arguments either side has to present. She presents no merit for me, nor does Duke (who is admittedly just an example that comes to mind). Neither represent everyone on any side of the racial justice discussion.
Genuinely man, there was nothing personal in my response to you, and I truly, barely even noticed it was you who typed out the Miko posts, I was responding to Miko and any insinuation that her statements had a place in what I consider to be a critical and noble discussion about the state of things in our country right now.
I completely respect this reply, Jahn, and probably wouldn’t have taken it so hard if i didn’t see maybe you and i as opposites viewpoints but both willing to work towards the center. It means more when a person you want to see your point seems to miss it and maybe widen the gap between our perspectives.
I just don’t like when what i am saying is feels like is being interpreted as being about broad brushstrokes when they really weren’t, or it was just misinterpreted that way. Im not about broad brushstrokes, this world is too variable to do that. Ill own the color palette i chose, but i don’t i just don’t want the the painting ruined by misinterpreted brushstrokes, if you catch my drift.
So maybe i jumped the gun a little on what looked like a drift between our perspectives and i wanted to be clear, i didn’t think i was the guy i felt you might be judging me to be. Your reply makes me feel much better that its already understood by you, and reflects my own opinion of how i see your contributions and perspective as well.
