What will the 2021 Miami Dolphins Defense look like?

Two of our top 4 picks in the 2021 draft were spent on defense. The #18 pick to me was the pivotal pick because I think adding Jaelan Phillips to this defense will energize a pass rush that improved last year with the addition of Emmanuel Ogbah who led the team, and also the emergence of “AVG” Andrew Van Ginkel who really came on last season. Keep in mind Emmanuel Ogbah had 8 sacks through 9 games last season and finished with 9, so 1 sack in the last 7 games. There’s a reason, opposing teams focused on Ogbah because Shaq Lawson wasn’t getting it done. So now we have the young pass rusher we need and in exchange for Shaq Lawson, we received ILB Benardrick McKinney. Don’t underestimate this move. As much as I believe drafting Phillips was so important to our defense, I think trading for Benardrick McKinney was a big step too, though not as much as getting Phillips. Consider that Elandon Roberts is rehabbing from a knee injury very late in the season (Game 16), we needed this. In addition, McKinney will be the perfect inside backer that will continue to allow #55 to be all over the field and we’ll now have a guy who can be productive against the run and can also chase down plays to the sidelines. In round 2 pick #36, the Dolphins took who they believe to be the starting FS opposite SS Eric Rowe, Jevon Holland. Holland will be given every opportunity to win that job as good ole Bobby McCain was let go.

I think our defense already had a very promising trajectory, even before the Lawson/McKinney trade and before the draft. I like our young, strong defensive line with DE’s Christian Wilkins and Emmanuel Ogbah and NT Raekwon Davis. Ogbah is the elder statesman at nearly 28 while Wilkins is nearly 26 and Davis is only 24. AVG will be 26 at season’s start and Jaelan Phillips is 22. These guys are just going to get better, and make no mistake, Jaelan Phillips is going to make this defense better. He will be a guy that must be accounted for and when there are multiple guys on your defense that fit in that category, that’s when defenses feast. I think Phillips is going to have that impact on our defense. If AVG can improve on the good work he did last year, our defense can be a real force. He played in only 46% of the defensive snaps and managed 5.5 sacks and 10 QB hits in addition to nearly 50 tackles. If he can earn more playing time and increase his production accordingly, watch out!

The secondary was already the premier unit of the defense and hopefully Jevon Holland can elevate it even further. Last season Bobby McCain played SS and played the majority of snaps there. This year Rowe will be playing SS and it’s expected that rookie Jevon Holland will play FS. Holland may also play some slot corner and nickel corner, a job Nik Needham handled most of the time last season. With two excellent cover corners in Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, this may be the best CB tandem in the NFL. Howard is the ballhawk and playmaker while Jones is your typical shutdown corner. Howard started and played in all 16 games finishing with an incredible 10 INT’s. Jones started and played 14 games last season and totaled just 2 INT’s, but as I said earlier, he does a great job of shutting down the receiver he is responsible for.

I honestly can’t wait to see this defense on the field. If Phillips lives up to the hype I’m bestowing on him this defense can be something to see. We so desperately need that player that opposing teams must pay extra special attention to and I can’t remember the last time we’ve had that. For some perspective, last season was the first season in which we accumulated more sacks on defense than we allowed in quite some time. We had 41 sacks and allowed only 34. In 2019 we allowed 58 and got only 23 of our own on defense. Still think the O-line didn’t improve??? I had to go all the way back to 2009 to find a comparison even close to last season. In 2009 we had 44 sacks and allowed 34. Our +7 from last season was impressive, imagine if we make that even better this season . . .

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

  1. Taking office at age 29, Ocasio-Cortez is the youngest woman ever to serve in the United States Congress. She has been noted for her substantial social media presence relative to her fellow members of Congress.[6] Ocasio-Cortez attended Boston University, where she double-majored in international relations and economics, graduating cum laude.

the right wing media says AOC is crazy 24/7 only because she scares them. obviously . shes a double major from Boston U, crazy people dont graduate cum laude on double doctorates

    thats quite an accomplishment,

and i hate to admit it, lol well maybe not , but AOC got elected twice as many times as trump did, with no rich daddy loan to help her. she did it from the hard way, a self made woman that got elected twice. she double majored in elections too, lol

thats something that other politicians have never accomplished, before the age of 30, obviously the other politicans werent as smart and hard working as she is

I’m surprised nobody here has mentioned that Nayib Bukele (President of El Salvador) has made Bitcoin legal tender in his country. First country in the world to do so. This made world headlines yesterday.

I’m a big fan of Nayib Bukele, but not because of the Bitcoin news.

    • i did read this yesterday, but figured the room had enough bitcoin news for one day, lol

but yes, this isnt the first country to do this, many poor and corrupt small nations have currency that has collapsed, and they use the crypto as a reserve currency, because it has value, when their currency does not

      • Marinofan13's avatar Marinofan13 says:

I hear ya, but we’re not talking about a reserve currency… we’re talking about official legal tender.

Do you think this will spread across the world? Personally, I have no idea.

      • im not sure it will spread around the world, but it has spread to many small countries

it starts off as a crypto currency / currency backup, or reserve currency, then eventually the nations currency either collapses or is on the brink of near collapse, and then Crypto as legal tender is the only option left, besides total starvation and misery

some countries have such horrible inflation they cant afford to buy anything, except crypto, lol what to do

what would the USA do if the dollar collapsed? there really isnt anything supporting it, other than our military might forcing other nations to take a piece of paper with dead presidents on it

the dollar hasnt been backed by gold for a very long time, and everyone seems to think we can just print more and more and more, and solve all the nations financial problems, and the dollar will hold its value? lol ,,,and SMH

the dollars value has eroded over a long period of time, 200 years plus, what if it went much qucker all of a sudden, what would we do?

studying the great depression, we see what happens when the dollar and the banks collapse
we have our answer, people will do WITHOUT for a decade or so, maybe longer if No WW2 pulls the nation out of it

Because the Republican Party is turning into a cult of personality where it is all about one man as opposed to its core values

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Yes but if they fracture too much they won’t be a viable party. As much as I affiliate with the Democratic Party it is important to have 2 viable political parties. It is an important part of the checks and balances that is fundamental to our system of government

    • it will change, the longer trump is off social media the better for the nation

trump is becoming more and more irrelevant as the days go by, he may be an afterthought by then

there is nothing gained by being loyal to trump, he is disloyal, and is not in power , even if he was loyal to be handing out favors

what they want is trumps base, the ones that are so stupid they send him their credit cards to get pulverized every week, lol

  8. whos in control of this nation? the actual answer is not either party, its the corporations that buy and sell the parties to do WHATEVER they want to do

Money, greed, corruption runs this nation, its called capitalism, that sounds better, right?

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Money, greed and power are not unique to this country. I actually we have a pretty good country to live in despite those evil nasty millionaires and billionaires

    • Marinofan13's avatar Marinofan13 says:

Capitalism has been hijacked, Brah. Not enough checks & balances, too many greedy people, and the democrat party has taken over BIG BIZ for the sake of POWER.

We’re beginning to resemble the CCP, in all honesty… a hybrid mix of capitalism/socialism. NOT GOOD, and not compatible to freedom-loving people.

One can’t honestly compete in this hybrid mix, whereas one can (as we’ve been able to in the past) in an honest capitalistic society.

BOTH parties are to blame for destroying our once, relatively pure capitalistic system… and the politicians in both parties who have been there forever march in lockstep: NWO, elites, uber-privileged, controllers… whatever ya want to call them. They are in cahoots with one another to keep us divided.

Thank you, David, for your reply… and I agree with ya 100% on this topic.

The way I see it (JMO)? Crypto-currency will either become the currency of the NWO, or we’ll go back to the ‘gold standard’… with several BIG wars determining the outcome.

Can’t keep printing money, we saw what happened in WWII, and IMO, the war was the only thing that got us out of the Great Depression… not social spending programs like FDR’s the “New Deal’. Can’t spend one’s way out of this, regardless… especially when so many foreign entities have bought up our debt.

Imminent war is in the forecast… sadly.

    • if it werent for FDR new deal, My father would have perished, it was the ONLY work they could get, and the only food they had to eat

before the depression and new deal started , my grandfather was a train conductor, but then the depression hit, and he was murdered for his job, and some of his children died of starvation
my father was one of the surviving children, thank God SOMEONE in government, represented the starving citizens and helped them in their dire emergency, he saved some American lives

whats more important, a life? or a dollar? we need to get our priorities straightened out if we think a dollar is more important than a life

We all need to truly look at the greater good. We’re off kilter as a society and it shouldn’t be this way. We’re allowing extreme factions to control the dialogue. It doesn’t represent the majority of the nation. It yells the loudest. We’re all focused on the negative. A bad place to be.

    • he wanted to get the votes from the people that are afraid of losing their white advantage, and to help send taxpayer funds to trumps cronies
it worked well on both of those counts, but the taxpayers and military got screwed over for a failed project, and infrastructure was ignored.

obviously, the wall was doomed from the beginning, it never worked,

it failed to stop immigrants coming across the border, into ports, airports, coastlines, or the canadian border either
its an unworkable solution, to a problem that nobody in the government knows how to handle.

Woodrow Wilson was a truly EVIL person. Between his outright hatred of minorities, he also had a hand in eugenics at Ellis Island. The Nazis and Margaret Sanger (Hillary Clinton’s mentor) loved this.

The KKK was formed under democrat leadership, and Robert Byrd was a big member. Joe Biden was famously friends with Byrd. And if I ever hear another Biden use the “N”-word ever again, there’s going to be problems.

Brah, I can’t believe you support these racists. The dems are the party of racism.

    • that was true years ago, but now the democrats are embracing diversity, have a black woman vice president, and the republicans are doing everything they can to be as racist as possible NOW.
the birth of a nation movie that wilson played, was instrumental in the resurgence of the KKK, and let to the Tulsa massacre, the Ocoee massacre,, Jim crow laws, and many other massacres across the nation, because the black people wanted to exercise their right to vote

republicans to this very day, are trying to make it harder and harder for minorities to vote, i would not support that party either

did you hear trumps comments on critical race theory a couple days ago? SMH

why do so many people not want minorities to vote? they have a constitutional right to vote, but were murdered for it then, and many get denied it now

We’re going to have to disagree on what ya just said above. Hey, it’s alright if ya feel a certain way, just as it’s alright if I feel a certain way. I just can’t understand how differently we feel about this matter.

IMO, CRT (Critical Race Theory) is Marxist: It’s racist and it’s anti-AMERICAN. It preaches hatred of other races to our children, and I can’t dig that.

      • so you think its ok for employers to discriminate against minorities? yea, we have to disagree on this, i dont believe that white supremacy should be the law of the land

    Now THAT is cryptic, sir!

There’s a legal way to get in, and any wall built is not prohibitive to the legal process.

They have walls in other countries like Mexico: if you come across their border without proper access, you sit between 4 walls with bars at the entrance/exit, under lock and key.

So give the Isles a huge pat on the back!!
    ——————
NOW, back to reality. The NYI will be underdogs to the Bolts. Last year Tampa Bay beat the Isles in 6 games to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. They did this without their captain, Steven Stamkos. Well kiddies, Stamkos is healthy now, as are all of the Lightning’s leading players. And, to top it off, Tampa Bay is 5-1 in ROAD GAMES played THIS playoff season!! That’s NOT to say the Bolts are a lock to beat the NYI. Far from it. But, barring a major injury to a key player, you’ve got to like Tampa Bay’s chances to repeat their winning performance against the Islanders.

On the other side of the continent, I fully expect the VGK to win their series against Colorado and advance to the Western Conference Finals against Montreal. And THAT series seems over before it starts to me. NO WAY Montreal can consistently stop the Golden Knights’ firepower. I see a Vegas victory in 5 games versus an over matched Canadiens team.

Cant have one without the other for me, neither disproved the existence or validity of the other. I think that people all in on one side is probably misguided even though my faith has me certain in the existence of God, still i have often questioned it because as i have said the existence of God cannot be proven or disproven, and i think that’s to the point of God’s intent. Belief is of free will and without question and coming to your own conclusion, you really aren’t a believer, you are a follower. You believe because your parents believe, because their parents believe, etc. My start in religion was being introduce to religion as a kid, but i found my faith as and adult because i did question and i did ponder.

People who make this kind of bold statement against science because of religion, i dont think they are strong enough in their beliefs to have the argument, so they do this slam the door move so they dont have to try to explain their side. They are scared to agree with the science as if that’s completely disagreeing about the existence of God and i don’t see why they would be scared, If God is the ultimate being, the divine creator, what is a few specks of life he created, disagreeing going to do to him? I mean if you cant believe your God can sustain a bit of questioning, then how supremely power is he really?

    ——————————————————————————————–
To that point, ya have to add in Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones, and Robert foster as well, the latter hasn’t proven to be the top receivers the other have or most likely will. Alabama, while better know for churning out defensive players, has been one of the best WR schools in they past decade.

  52. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

“Setting aside Tua Tagovailoa’s admission that he didn’t have the best grasp on the playbook last year, the Dolphins tried to make things a lot easier from him by vastly upgrading his weapons to address what had been a subpar wide receiver group. They signed Will Fuller and then used the sixth overall pick to select the electrifying Jaylen Waddle. They also drafted an NFL-ready lineman in Liam Eichenberg, and provided the young passer a mentor in Jacoby Brissett. And finally, the Dolphins passed on drafting another quarterback, indicating they are totally committed to Tagovailoa.” — Judy Battista, NFL.com

Why do they always leave out the fact that we hadb2 covid opt outs and Preston out half the year?

They make it sound like the 2020 WR corps going into 2021 was horrible.

Parker, Preston, Wilson, Hurns, Bowden…would’ve been better than subpar.

Think maybe they don’t do their homework

  53. D's avatar D says:

Nothing wrong with a player thinking that they have out performed the contract they are currently under and trying to negotiate a new one. It would be equivalent to you being a member of a team and your performance merits you be a higher paid member of the team than your currently are, as you by your own observations believe you are bringing more to the table than your counterparts. You go to the boss, make your argument and they make a decision to give you a raise or they don’t. Its a similar scenario and IMO in not sweating a player trying to do more for themselves.

The problem comes in when a player decides to hold out just because they didn’t agree. To me that’s where not honoring the contract comes in, not at the point where they are saying “I think i deserve more” I get his point, he just had the first double digit INT number is a while, he has established himself in the conversation about being the best CB in the league, he is going to want to be the top paid. Dolphins should consider it, but only make a move if its feasible and perhaps moving the money around also would help their current cap situation.

    • did Howard offer part of his contract back to the team, when he only played 5 games in 2019? the team had to play 11 games without his services that year.

did Howard sign his name on the dotted line? then legally he is required to honor that legally binding contract, the team should play hardball and stick to the contract or trade the greedy guy
if he managed his money better, he would have more, its not the teams fault he flushes it down the toilet so to speak

we cant give him another contract every single year, even though he wants it

      • D's avatar D says:

Didnt say we had to, im just saying there is no harm in him asking for one. We dont have to give it to him just because he asked for it.

      • D's avatar D says:

Its not, not living up to the contract though, just to wants a new one, its how he handles himself if they dont give it to him that would be not living up to it, if he does something like hold out or whatever.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Problem with your analogy is, if you were part of a team and signed a contract, then you’d have to honor it, you wouldn’t be asking for a raise, and if you didn’t have a one-act it’s not the same situation.

      I agree with David

the nfl breaks contracts all the time

      • D's avatar D says:

Teams do it a lot, they ask players to re-work the contract for the benefit of the team, it goes both ways. Its aboyut having an argument to base your request on….over performing, think you should get more, you have a right and pretty much an obligation to yourself to search out a possible re-working for more money. The team also has the right to re-work it on under performing players, and they do regularly. Im not sure how there is a difference, both signed the contract.

  54. Steve, Howard just got his contract reworked in 2019, and at that time, it made him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL

but now its not good enough, even though there are 4 more years remaining on the contract

i think he is jealous the fins paid Byron Jones more, and we all know Jones doesnt get interceptions like Howard can

i do feel it was a mistake to sign Jones to a contract he cant live up too, and we may lose howard over that too

  55. in 2019, Howard only played in 5 games, but Miami gave him the richest cornerback contract in the NFL

BTW< Howards current net worth is only a little over $4 million, hes just wasting away his money, thats pathetic

  56. if Miami gives Howard another contract every year or two, the other players will want that also

unfortunately, we may lose the DPOY over this, SMH but business is business, we cant be reworking everyones contract to the top paid players in the NFL, every other year

we may have to trade him, but we could likely get alot for the trade and move on, hes not the ONE player that will vault the Dolphins to the super bowl, it takes a team

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

A re-worked contract like this is limited to a select few great, can’t live without, players

players think they can spend all they want, and demand more when they wasted all their money.

im here to tell You that if i had a $75 million dollar contract, and made some money before that, id have more than $4 mil to show for it, obviously he trashed millions of dollars on stuff that didnt add to his net worth

if howard doesn’t want to play under his current contract he has that right.
miami can either trade him or make him sit and withhold his $, that’s their right.
nothing wrong with howard not wanting to play under current contract

    • it would be nice if we could ask Howard how he would feel if the Dolphins dont want to honor the contract they signed with him, but we cant

my guess is he wouldnt like it if the Dolphins tried to renegotiate to a lower amount

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

When the NFL breaks a contract they still have to pay the guaranteed money, so they really aren’t breaking the contract they’re paying it out and terminating it

      • D's avatar D says:

They also ask for it to be re-negotiated though, which is the same thing that a player does when they do something like this. Again, the bad action is hold out, then you are basically strong arming the team and not holding up your part of the contract. We really aren’t there yet.

  60. i said he has a shot at being the DPOY, the best defender in the league, whats not to like?

well, the problem is, he wants to back out of a legal contract that HE signed and agreed to play for

he might not suit up this season, because of greed and piss poor financial management, neither are the teams problems IMO

    • and i have to add, that this is the FIRST time i have EVER said anything about Howard, that doesnt compare to the 100,000 things you said bashing Tua

i wont be attempting to catch up, lol this is it, enjoy it while it lasts, JK

  61. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

Howard is probably the best CB in the league, and he’s not even the highest paid CB on his team.

    • thats a big part of the problem, Howard WAS the highest paid when he was signed, and the Dolphins later signed Jones to a higher contract, so now Howard is wanting more more

the jones contract was stupid, and we might lose Howard over that Jones signing

  62. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

the contract he signed runs through 2024, you can bet Miami won’t honor that contract past this year, it would be a massive cap hit with very little dead money,
so what’s the difference in a player not wanting to honor a contract vs a team doing the same?

it’s a business decision, no offense should be taken at Howard unless you have the same disdain for miami when they bounce his contract early

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

If a team does it they’re doing it for the best interest of the team, the player is doing it for himself.

If you want to allow players to do this, then the ones that don’t perform should have to give money back

    • the contract comes with what is called guaranteed money, and no, the team cannot back out of guaranteed money.

teams are not obligated to keep a player on the team if he cant or wont perform, but they are obligated to the guaranteed part, Because they signed a legally binding contract

renegotiating the contract every time a player has a good or bad year, doesnt really work into it, unless both parties agree to it

a player like Howard, had a huge season last year, but missed 11 games in 2019, and missed 4 games in 2018

did the team ask Howard to renegotiate to a part time contract with much less money, since he missed 15 games in 2 years? or did they sign him to the highest contract for any CB at that time?

the team was MORE than fair with the contract , but Howard disagrees with it,

this is a big problem, and i dont think the team did Howard wrong for giving him such a huge contract that he doesnt want to play for now

i dont see anything wrong with NOT liking a player that refuses to play because he cant manage his finances

that isnt what the team needs

  63. D's avatar D says:

I mean at this point i think its a wait an see how this shakes out. Right now its just being reported he doesn’t like his contract, but there is no talk of a “Im holding out until i get a new one” or anything like that, so its what it is, in the world of contracts, they get re-negotiated from time to time if there is merit and the two sides can agree. Nothing really to see here right now.

  64. Orob, You might be right that the team cuts howard down the road, but that would NOT be a breech of contract

as long as the Fins pay his guaranteed money, he has no legal claim to the non guaranteed part of his contract

so if the Fins did cut him down the road, they would still be doing so under contract, contracts are written with the guarantee part, and the non guarantee part written into them

Denier in don’t believe enough to swing the election. Count me in. Part that always gets me is Trump creating a Presidential Commission to find the 3-5 million illegal votes (by illegals) that he stated as fact were cast in 2016 just cause hated lost the popular vote. They couldn’t find more than a few and quietly closed shop. Same guy talking about the same now.

Did those happen in whole states or just some reported incidents? If whole states then clearly something was going on. When you go to unfolded ballots… who said that? Was it one of the observers that wasn’t there?

thats totally unconstitutional, the votes were fine and the clowns trying to change the numbers almost a year later is foolish

this is all because trump is a poor loser, but he did it to himself

  67. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Just guessing, but I don’t think the holding out for a better contract will work with Flores. They may be willing to restructure contracts if it benefits the team, but I can’t see them renegotiating to placate a player. They’ll just move on to the next guy. I said last year that this was something we’d need to keep an eye on. Building a team is one thing. Retaining high priced veterans is another. We’ll see how they handle that next phase of building a perennial playoff contender. Good coach or not…you still need the horses to make it work.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

What we’re hearing might be just from the media regurgitating old news,, and not from Howard’s camp.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

All part of managing a team. You really want a guy like X on the field for you, but you also don’t want guys on your team thinking sign a new contract, play well and all you have to do is make some disgruntled noise to get a re-do.

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

that works both ways stanger, as a team you don’t want to give the impression as to being unfair as well. destroys locker rooms and makes it hard to get quality fa’s

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Agree in general, but in this case X signed a new contract that made him the best paid CB in the league and then after a fantastic season was already talking about a new one. Yeah other CBs then got more (shocker), but guess that was a line for me.

  68. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

It’s an old convo, but I agree with Rob. Teams ask players to restructure contracts all the time vs being cut, and teams cut players early in contracts all the time, like Van Noy. Sure, they have guaranteed money, but they also have to pack up their families and move unexpectedly. Teams have a ton of power to do whatever they want with contracts, the players have fewer options, and I think those options are always distasteful to the fans because it always puts the team needs behind the player needs.

All the elements being discussed are part of the contract process in the NFL though. If a player gets cut early in the contract, he still gets that guaranteed money. If a player holds out, he loses money to put pressure on the team. I have no problem with players weighing their options and exercising the power they have in the process.

I also think it can be evaluated situationally. In Howard’s case, we gave him a top flight contract following a year in which he played 5 games. We took a chance on him, so even though he has delivered thus far, I’m not too keen on him wanting a new contract 2 years later just because other contracts have moved him down to #5 at the position, or wherever he is now. I think the Jones contract is driving this.

If he has another year like he did last year, then next offseason if he wanted to push for a new contract, my sympathy would probably lie more with the player. But for this year, I’m hoping Howard is just making some noise in anticipation of another big year to set up negotiations next year. At that point we either accede and renegotiate or trade him.

  69. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

We also signed and drafted all the CBs in the league this offseason, so if Howard really pushes things this year, I think we ‘re set up to trade him. lol

I hope it doesn’t go down that way though. Howard is one of those players that has a knack for finding the ball on defense, and that is an incalculable value.

We just rewatched the 2nd Pets game from last year. Howard came this close to having a 70+ yd fumble return for a TD (the ball glanced off Wilkins leg while he was standing out of bounds), and Howard also forced the fumble that was our only recovered TO in that game. He’s a TO creating machine that is also a quality cover CB, and I think you hold on to those players if you can.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Wilkins totally fucked up that 70 yard fumble for a td, he doesn’t play smart sometimes and lets his childish behavior get in the way

  70. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Cav — another year and we are past Jones getting more than X. This is what he is thinking about. And he does have a point at $13 million a year.

“The highest paid cornerback in the NFL is now the Los Angeles Rams’ Jalen Ramsey, who makes $20 million in average annual salary. The Baltimore Ravens’ Marlon Humphrey is second, at $19.5 million.”

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I’m excited for it! The last game, and actually the whole series, was everything I thought it would be. The Lightning are right there too, but I think we’re watching the two best teams in the league playing this out. I think the game is close for a period or two, but I think VGK pulls ahead in the 3rd.

The global image of the United States has vastly improved since President Joe Biden took office compared to all-time low ratings under former President Donald Trump’s leadership. Pew Research Center polled people in 16 countries and the results show a major shift in public attitudes after Trump left the White House.

The US’ average favorability rating increased by 28 percentage points this year – one of the biggest spikes on record since Pew started polling more than two decades ago. Around 75% of people surveyed expressed confidence in Biden to do the right thing when it comes to world affairs. A year ago, only 17% said the same for Trump.

Pew surveyed 16,254 adults from March 12 to May 26, 2021.

  77. shooting at publix supermarket today, its on okeechobee Blvd, right down the street from palm beach

3 people perished, including a grandmother and her grandaughter , who was a toddler

its not safe to go grocery shopping anymore, if you look on you tube about publix shooting, there are stories all over FL about it, Clermont, Orlando, Winter Park, Royal Palm Beach, Miami, etc

the nation is dying with guns, innocent children and familes are paying the price for lack of common sense gun control

when trump promised the parkland students that meaningful gun control would ensue,

most know that the NRA is supporting Trump, so Trump sides with the gun manufacturers, and the hell with dead children

  78. now the NRA is mounting a multi million dollar effort , to try and stop Biden from enacting banning assault rifles and other gun control measures

i just feel the nation has to be made safer, we cant be a Venezuela or Honduras, we need to keep the US citizens more safe than they currently are

there is a you tube video of a man that pulled a firearm from his waistband, and shot and killed a publix deli worker who was taking too long to make his sandwich

is that the purpose of conceal carry? so they can murder whoever they dont like? what if the oil change guy takes 11 minutes instead of 10? hes dead meat by hidden weapons?

then conceal carry should be banned also

    • in the video, the man is wearing blue nitrile gloves like Dexter used
not sure why he had those on, fingerprints on his own gun? but it shows premedatation, that poor girl was going to die no matter how fast she made the cocksuckers sandwich

how do we tell the parents, her child and mother is dead, because we arent going to do anything at all to help keep citizens safe? i wouldnt want to do that

“There is no known motive or relationship between the gunman and the victims,” PBSO spokeswoman Teri Barbera said in a news release Thursday night. “However, detectives are still investigating.”

The victims’ names will not be released because of Marsy’s Law, Barbera said. The gunman’s name will be released after his next of kin has been notified.

Fire rescue crews were later called on March 23 to the intersection of West Atlantic and Southwest 11th avenues where they found Kennedy stuck in the drain.

The woman said she entered the drain system after swimming in a canal but later got lost and wandered through the tunnels for weeks.

      • lol i find the story unbelievable, first of all, swimming in delray canals is nuts, there are snakes, gators, alligator snapping turtles, iguanas, and pacu, the big cousin to the piranha!
and of course, water pollution, bacteria, and who knows what else is in the canal there, ive been there before fishing lake Ida in Delray

and wandering the tunnels for weeks, naked, lol wow, no food? no clothes, she must have serious mental health problems, i hope she gets help before she shows up stuck in another drain somewhere in Utah, lol
