  1. Ken says:

    6 sacks today

  2. The Flying Pig says:

After this much investment – this OL playing like this is ridiculous

  3. its hard to believe Miami scored 0 points, seems like it should be lower, lol and smh

  4. ocalarob says:

there going to have to make a move to shore up the OL. not sure why they dumped flowers?

    • Tim Knight says:

You think he changes everything? He can’t play all 5 positions. The OL and the entire blocking scheme has been awful all day.

  5. Tim Knight says:

    This is just awful. 😦

  6. mf13ss says:

Damn this fucking O-Line of ours!

  7. Capt. Stubbs says:

Just go get cones out of the parking lot. I think they’ll do better

  8. Mike E. says:

I’m trying to decide if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that there’s 15 more games to play . . .

  9. what a stinker of a performance, i feel sorry for the fans that witnessed this shitshow in person, or online, or tv

  10. naplesfan2010 says:

I think the heat is starting to effect Buffalo. Did you see how long it took them to score?

  11. bailbondmike says:

The way the Raiders are playing the Steelers in Pittsburg, we are going to get slaughtered there also.

  12. herdfan says:

I lost my stream. I think the universe is protecting me.

  13. naplesfan2010 says:

With 2 OCs, it seems like they could get the blocking to work.

  14. Capt. Stubbs says:

One play at a time…. well that motto made this game a long……drawn out pain staking watch

  15. naplesfan2010 says:

Why isn’t Phillips playing like Rousseau?

  16. throw it short to wilson, he will get us 36 points, lol

  17. herdfan says:

I guess you could say we lost our starter but to me, it wasn’t looking great when Tua was in. Not blaming him, just saying I don’t think that’s what caused this. Brissett played well enough.

  18. The Flying Pig says:

This game was one of the options for the fest…

  19. mf13ss says:

Be prepared to hear Deshaun Watson to Miami ALL WEEK.

  20. naplesfan2010 says:

    Wilson is on fire.

  21. naplesfan2010 says:

    Should’ve kicked the FG.

  22. this looks bad for Flores, he failed to have the team ready for their home opener, and failed to come up with a way to protect his starting QB

and o yea, lost the game 35-0

  23. mf13ss says:

I was so hyped to watch this game all week long. Now, I’m just pissed off.

  24. Miami should bring in cam newton, hes a little bit bigger and can hold up to getting sacked a little bit better

  25. Krishna says:

    Meltdown, top to bottom…..

Sure hope they answer that shitshow!

  26. mf13ss says:

    David C (@DolphinsSB52) says:
    September 19, 2021 at 4:24 pm
cant blame 35-0 on the media, criticism is fair game at this point
    ———————
“at this point”? The media has been criticizing us unfairly since before everybody had a cellphone. We don’t know how long Tua will be out, Brissett is clearly not the answer, so naturally, the media is going to CONTINUE to push Deshaun Watson to us. SMH

  27. bailbondmike says:

The 49er’s are 2-0 now. That pick getting worse, so far.

  28. mf13ss says:

  29. bailbondmike says:

Well, ……………………….we are still tied for the division lead after 1 ugly game and 1 super shitty game. That is without getting technical about tiebreakers.

  30. Tim Knight says:

    I have nothing to say.

  31. herdfan says:

I hate the taunting calls. I know if I was playing, I’d be running my mouth! 😆

  32. stangerx says:

I didn’t see the 4th quarter, but it didn’t seem like a beat down….. yet it was. Josh Allen has a way of just getting things done in a low key way. But guess as I say that a beat down on our OL there was.

  33. Krishna says:

Beatdown, meltdown….wtf! On every level. That’s what’s baffling to me.

  34. bookman11 says:

Never even felt like we were in the game to me

  35. bookman11 says:

I’m beginning to think we drafted the wrong QB that year.

    • Capt. Stubbs says:

You could be right however no qb would of looked good behind that shitty o-line

    • Tim Knight says:

It really wasn’t about the QB today. We can’t block anything. Then add the stupid plays, drops and turnovers and you get blown out. The Bills are also in a different class.

This game punched us all in the gut.

    • Krishna says:

Dude, it had nothing to do with Tua’s performance today….that’s just hating.

He was fucking body slammed to the ground because we decided not to pick up the blitz from blind side. He probably fractured a few ribs he hit the ground so hard…..jmo, of course. Lol!

      • Krishna says:

        On the second series….geez, loueez

      • bookman11 says:

When did I say it was about Tuas performance today? Seriously, really need to drop an “F” bomb? I happen to be watching the Chargers game and Herbert looks really good

      • Krishna says:

Just trying to figure out your left field comment on today’s game and how it left you feeling we picked the wrong guy in the draft…

…..I know I’m usually slow, but I still don’t get it.

Please, help me connect the dots.

    • Ken says:

Tua left after a couple of plays. How is this about Tua?

      • bookman11 says:

I am not making it about Tua, but Herbert sure looks better to me, just a gut feeling. Not trying to start anything, just my opinion.

      • Krishna says:

Then, an odd comment right after a team loss that has me befuddled….to say the least.

Not sure how it’s pertinent to today’s game?

  36. Tim Knight says:

I also can’t figure this league out just yet. Outside of a few teams, who’s good and who’s bad?

  37. stangerx says:

So OD and I split up before hitting the seats. Ask if he wants anything and he says a water. After sitting there for a bunch of the 1st Q and it hits me he is drinking a bud light. Comment “guess you wanted a beer anyhow.”

After some talk turned out he’d taken over the beer in the cupholder of the sweet young woman next to him. And how sweet was she…. she never said a word. Also refused OD’s $20 to pay for it.

  38. Tim Knight says:

Bookman, Herbert is very good but also having a tough time today. Our team’s performance was not about QB, we can’t compete in the trenches on offense. There is no time to do anything.

  39. Krishna says:

The obvious must so obvious that some can’t see the obvious! Lmao!

    We sucked ass today!!!!

    • Tim Knight says:

I think the defense competed today with zero support. They’re not dominant or anything but they can compete. Our offense was horrible today on so many levels. We might be too young.

      • Ken says:

Even the defense sucked ass early in the game but at least they played better after that

      • son of a son of a shula says:

D looked pretty and they got put on a short field all day long. Should have never went for that first fourth down. It snowballed quickly and everyone started pressing the rest of the way.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yeah if the offense competed today we would have at least been in a game. They obviously could not do much of anything.

      • Krishna says:

So many PIs and dropped INTs…those are at a minimum missed opportunities and NOT winning football.

  40. Krishna says:

Didn’t think the D played to its paper potential….lol!

  41. Tim Knight says:

If Tua has fractured ribs he’s probably out at least 3-4 weeks. But with this OL and the drops it doesn’t really matter. This team better improve individually really fast or this season is not going to be good. Brissett hung in there and played tough but also had no chance. 40 pass attempts for 169 for 4.2 YPA. That’s awful and it’s all on the blocking.

  42. Krishna says:

At least TK and on his throwing side, so pain might be more to overcome. The proper force on a rib causes it to snap. My best guess on Tua.

When I snapped my rib, I heard it, but didn’t feel it right away. I was like, wtf, what just happened? You could tell he felt it.

  43. Capt. Stubbs says:

They said x-rays were negative on his ribs

  44. CavalierKong says:

LOL, at least we’re not as dumb as the Houston Texans…

  45. New Age says:

At this point, you have to question the leadership. Why is our OL always terrible but we let go OL players like Flowers? Why are we on the third set of OCs and OL coaches in 3 years? Why did we keep so many WRs on the team when we can’t find even decent O-Linemen? Why aren’t the guys we drafted at OL better by now?

Buffalo played terribly…and beat the shit out of us. NE played terrible with a rookie QB…and the defense saved our asses. This team is almost as bad as any team in the NFL. Good teams don’t get destroyed at home without scoring any points. I don’t want to overreact…but this is Year 3 and it looks just like Year 2 but worse. We got beat even worse than last year! The problems I saw last year…look EXACTLY the same as last year. This team is supposedly big on accountability…time to pay the piper. Flores team suck until further notice.

    • Krishna says:

I’m not going to disagree, just say let’s see if there’s an answer to that shitshow.

    • Ken says:

Flowers was nothing special and it’s not like he would have made a difference today. He has not been great in pass protection his whole career

      • New Age says:

True, but the back end of our WR group isn’t that special either. Why keep average WRs when your OL is terrible?

    • stangerx says:

We’re 1-1 and that is all I wanted out of the first two games. Was pretty darn sure we’d lose to the Bills, even if didn’t expect in today’s way. Let’s see what happens. This D can put it together against most teams even if seems not the Bills.

  46. Mike E. says:

They said X-ray (Tua’s rib) was negative on the radio, but he will getting an MRI tomorrow

    • stangerx says:

A big possibility is cartilage tears. Those are a bitch. You feel OK generally and then just one wrong twist or move brings searing pain.

  47. Ken says:

On the bright side at least Zach Wilson sucks monkey dick

  48. herdfan says:

Knew this wasn’t going to end well. Very sad whatever happened.

    https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/09/19/us/gabby-petito-missing-sunday/index.html

  49. Mike E. says:

How did the O-line regress so badly in year 2? We basically have the same damn line, is it Deiter not making the right line calls or is he just bad at helping the other guys? Karras being gone and Deiter replacing him is the biggest change, otherwise the O-line is intact, right?

    • mf13ss says:

No, we keep changing up our starters.

      • Mike E. says:

It was Jackson, Kindley, Deiter, Hunt and Davis today. They pulled Davis after some uneven play and put Eichenberg in at RT. Every O-line rotates guys in and out though. It was Jackson’s first start, but Davis started at RT last week. Eich started at LG last week too I believe

      • mf13ss says:

Yup, we keep changing up our O-Line, and that includes starters.

    • stangerx says:

Kindly and Jackson were taken to the woodshed in camp. How could they be worse? They were supposed to take the jump.

    • mf13ss says:

And it’s year 3, by the way.

    • CavalierKong says:

Our first two drives the Bills really threw off our entire protection scheme with their unique and unprecedented use of rushing an extra guy off the edge. It was so confounding we gave up 2 sacks and a QB hit in our first 3 pass plays.

I’m not sure who the defensive genius is on the Bills who came up with this concept of ‘rushing an extra guy’, but wow, give that guy a medal.

      • stangerx says:

Those first two series were brutal. Free rusher after free rusher coming in.

      • New Age says:

I’m glad you explained it because I was as lost as our OL. I was looking under my coach to see where those guys were coming from. I wish we had guys like that!

  50. Ken says:

The play where Tua got hurt was just horrible blocking by Davis. He completely whiffed on the DE in a one on one matchup. Inexcusable

  51. Mike E. says:

M – Year 2 for Jackson, Kindley and Hunt. Year 3 for Deiter and year 5 for Davis

    • mf13ss says:

You play the best 5, regardless of experience… and you allow them to gel together. It’s no wonder there’s no cohesiveness on our O-Line, bud.

  52. mf13ss says:

Methinks the experiment with co-OCs should end right now.

  53. Tim Knight says:

The rules and the refs are ruining this game we love. It’s becoming unwatchable.

  54. Mike E. says:

    LMAO @ Kong!

  55. CavalierKong says:

I said early in preseason, I’d like to see us pick 5 guys and let them develop some chemistry instead of going all training camp constantly mixing and matching.

Part of the problem the 1st two weeks has been guys just flat out getting beat one on one, but there have been numerous times where our communication was clearly not there as guys are doubling defenders and leaving free rushers.

  56. ocalarob says:

we don’t matchup well against the Bills, Josh allen has owned us
It’s 1 loss in the column, no big deal, move on get ready for the raiders,

  57. ocalarob says:

They should look to add a veteran or two on the OL before the trade deadline.

at least that’s the noise i’ve been hearing

  58. ocalarob says:

Tua has bruised ribs, x rays negative, i’ve had bruised ribs before, you can’t breathe without excrutiating pain, they say bruised ribs is more painful than broken ribs

  59. Tim Knight says:

M13, you’re barking up the wrong tree with Co-OCs. It’s not play-calling or game planning, it’s lack of execution mano-a-mano. We can’t block, we have drops and we have dumb penalties at the wrong time. That’s on the players.

  60. CavalierKong says:

wow, horrible clock management by dallas, lol

  61. Tim Knight says:

The NFL should change their brand logo to the yellow flag. LOL 😦

  62. CavalierKong says:

Herd, I think you may be right.

  63. New Age says:

Most of our OL is very young and they’ve been mixing and matching where these guys play almost since Flores came here. Now that may work for the defense but it doesn’t for the offense. As a coach, you should know how your OL is supposed to look and have an idea pretty quickly what a guy can do. It hasn’t happened here and a journeyman OL being a starter 5 years in is what happens from it. Davis is a lifelong backup being forced to play as a starter. It’s a huge reason our OL sucks. Set the best 5, play them in the same spot, maybe have better blocking. It’s not a new concept.

    • CavalierKong says:

I agree. We know the guys have, let a group of them develop together and maybe they can be a bit more than the sum of their parts. As it is, we keep moving bad players all over the place, and our bad players suck one on one, we suck at setting our protections, and we suck working together as a unit.

      • Tim Knight says:

There is something to that. We’re too young and new. None of these guys have done much together. The core has to mature and less churning has to happen.

It was a bad day but we’re 1-1. We’ll see.

      • CavalierKong says:

Yep, still a lot of season left to play

  64. Tim Knight says:

I miss football from back in the day. Because of money, sports is becoming less about entertainment and more about dumb rules.

  65. wyoming85 says:

We are a soft ass team!

Every time Flores tried to show strength, we wilted like a virgin flower!

Oh and I’m really fuckin glad nobody wanted to draft that inaccurate QB from Wyoming! Fuck him!

  66. wyoming85 says:

    Jesus fuckin dropped passes Christ!

    • wyoming85 says:

Sorry just finished the game! Even though it was over 2 hours ago on the DVR!!!!!!!

    • CavalierKong says:

That 1st Wilson drop was so huge. That would have been 1st and goal to go. If we score it’s 14-7. Maybe it’s a different game at that point.

The Parker drop was 7 points.

The Grant fumble was inside the 10.

The 4th down stop cost us 3 points (even though I was ok with the call)

All that was the 1st half. Who knows how the game plays out if we get points on just two of those possessions…all within our control…

  67. stangerx says:

Where are you WIll Fuller? Cause Wilson just ain’t doing it. I’m ready to start Preston if he’s healthy.

    • Tim Knight says:

      Preston played today.

Guys, stop!!! Did you watch the game today? Did you watch us upfront on offense? Stop looking for things other than what it is. We can’t block our plays.

  68. mf13ss says:

    ————-
Are you absolutely certain about this? I mean, we didn’t seem to be this dysfunctional on the O-Line last year, and we’ve certainly upgraded our personnel… at least on paper.

The OC (not the TWO) is the one who calls the plays, and that means the O-Line should fall in balance to the play-calling: it’s that simple.

Perhaps I’m wrong and you are right… but WHY have we taken a huge step back on our O-Line?

    • wyoming85 says:

      Soft team Bro!!!!!
Flores tried to show strength, and they wilted!!!!!!

    • Tim Knight says:

Did you watch the game? Did the Co-OCs say whiff on blocks all day and we should be fine? LOL

I think we’re too young and/or simply not good enough. That’s gonna fall on Grier if it continues.

That said, maybe we’re all getting ahead of ourselves. We’re not there yet. I don’t really know. But Co-OCs is the least of my worries.

      • mf13ss says:

Yes, I watched the entire game, from start to finish.

And aside from a FG last week, we’ve scored a total of two TDs after two weeks in the books. NOT GOOD.

      • mf13ss says:

Tua rushed for one, and Tua passed for one… all last week.

  69. wyoming85 says:

    I’ll give Wilson this.
He did start catching in the second half!

Fuck him for the first 2 drops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  70. CavalierKong says:

Titans dropping passes left and right, lol

  71. wyoming85 says:

The OL broke our new toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  72. Capt. Stubbs says:

Stanger I posted above about just joking around. I know I haven’t been on here in a while. However that’s who I am. Just trying to have some fun. I saw no response while you respond to everyone else

  73. wyoming85 says:

    Tennessee showed GRIT!

    We have none!

  74. Mike E. says:

M – Think back to early last season. Fitz was uncanny at avoiding pressure, he was constantly stepping up in the pocket or moving to his left and right to avoid the rush. He really was magical sometimes last season. He masked a lot of bad play by the O-line. Tua didn’t/couldn’t do it as well as Fitz and that’s where his biggest issues were, he had trouble with the pressure that Fitz was able to avoid. I think he improved on that somewhat although today’s hit was rough coming from his blind side.

  75. Krishna says:

I’m not sure how a co-co has anything to do with OL play calls when reading a defense.

Are you saying the blitz (loved CKs version) wasn’t schemed for?

    Wtf?

    • Krishna says:

I’m trying to say you call the blocking at the line in context with the called play. I would think the call on the line at the snap is Most important.

  76. mf13ss says:

    I’m out.

  77. wyoming85 says:

    Play design????????

The Fins are just plain SOFT!!!!!!!!!!

Fores gave them a chance to show toughness! And they wilted!!!!!!!!!!!!

  78. bookman11 says:

I think we are going to get smoked against the Raiders

You do realize I’m not a liberal at this point I hope.
    —————————————-
    You keep saying that! But???????????

    • stangerx says:

But I’ve voted for GOP candidates 95% of the time in my life. Have freely admitted am a NeverTrump guy, but that does not mean liberal. Bill Kristol, Jeffe Flake and Adam Kinzinger are those too…. all most conservative.

  80. herdfan says:

    Losing sucks. That is all.

  81. CavalierKong says:

It’d be nice it the Mets could do me a solid and beat the Phillies

  82. Capt. Stubbs says:

My problem with O line is I don’t even feel like any of them are anything you can build around smh

  83. Krishna says:

Like I mentioned earlier, there needs to be an answer to the shitshow.

Lucy, you have some ‘splainen to do’

    • Capt. Stubbs says:

Hopefully the explanation isn’t ” looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck ” probably a duck lol

  84. Mike E. says:

M – I wasn’t blaming Tua at all. I’m kinda saying the O-line wasn’t really that good last year either, especially early on. I think they got better, but they’re not that good to start.

  85. Randy says:

Well that was no fun. The OL issues were there last year. They showed improvement, but they were still not good. We had a couple veterans in the middle who helped even things out a little but this year it’s a bunch of really young guys who are learning on the fly. Davis is a a vet, but he simply isn’t starter level. The more he plays at one position, the more he gets exposed. Fitz was the difference last year. Also, the Bills have a damn good defensive front….not that it wasn’t still a bad performance from our OL…but Buffalo is a tough D up front.
    ***
This is why I haven’t been real big on the idea that this is a playoff team yet. This OL and offense need more time to grow before we’re beating the best teams. The OL specifically is just too young and inexperienced to compete at that level consistently, to me. The defense is damn close. The ST, I think, are good enough to compete at that level. The offense is nowhere close.
    ***
I’m really interested to see how this team comes back in the next game. We didn’t get to see how they would respond after the Bills kicked their asses last year. This time, we get to see what sort of leadership and heart this team has. Your HC can’t do it by himself. It has to come from the players.

    • Capt. Stubbs says:

Randy tell me who on this line is someone we can build around. Not saying we don’t have a couple or few, just wanting your opinion. I get on paper there’s a few that have potential however after today not so sure.

  86. CavalierKong says:

I feel this is worth remarking on again…

Today the Texans had a 3rd and 15, they picked up 14 yards, but a defender was offsides.

Instead of taking 3rd and 10, the Texans took 4th and 1 and punted…

  87. Randy says:

Tua had no shot but recognizing a rusher off the edge or that extra guy is partly his responsibility. That was something that the Bills obviously had seen in film study and took advantage of it. The OL wasn’t giving Tua much of a chance, but he still has to get better too. He’s still basically a rookie, so I’m not saying he sucks….but he is still making rookie mistakes. He’s not managing the pocket very well, and I thought he would be a little better at that, frankly.
    ***
I thought Brissett did well, actually. He’s got nifty feet. He’s not the answer at QB or anything, but he’s a pretty competent backup. It would have been much uglier if he hadn’t avoided a number of sacks/tackles.

  88. wyoming85 says:

  89. Randy says:

    Capt,
Nice to see you again, btw! Actually, I think ALL the young guys have some talent. I think Hunt and Kindley could both be pretty good guards. I think Hunt MAY be really good. They both have some stuff in terms of technique I’d like to see them get better at, but I do think they show promise. Deiter has actually done okay so far. I’d like to see a little more from him, but it’s still his first year starting at C. I think Jackson has a ton of physical talent, but he’s just really looking lost this year. He looked just okay last year, but I think he was helped a lot by having a solid veteran playing next to him at guard last year too and a veteran QB who knew when to get the ball out. I thought he’d be more consistent this year, but he’s not. Still, he’s got enough natural talent to see how he develops. Eich has looked okay for a rookie. Not great or anything but holding his own for the most part. You always have those plays where you cringe watching rookie OL, but Eich is competing.
    ***
I know some folks like Davis, but I don’t think he’s an answer as a long term starter. I do think this team could benefit from having a veteran OL starting somewhere along the line to help lead them. But, it was obvious in how they’ve handled their personnel that they’ve decided to go with youth and take their lumps. I think this year is about really finding out whether or not any of these guys are more than what’s on paper, Cap.

    • Ken says:

Tua’s injury was all on Davis I don’t think he should be on the field again. It wasn’t an extra rusher he just missed the DE in 1 on 1 match up

    • Capt. Stubbs says:

Thanks for the response I like yourline evaluation, I’m usually fair headed on all thee above. Let’s hope they get it together quicker than later. Anytime you need a bucket, I got you however you can’t have the one I have over my head right now

  90. Randy says:

    Ken,
Yep, Davis has had a few of those already in 2 games…and Epenesa isn’t exactly a quick rusher. He’s not the sort of guy who should ever beat you around the edge like that. I’d really have no problem if they just put Eich in there and move ahead. But, the coaches may be worried they won’t have any QBs walking by week 8 with all that youth on the line….and want at least some veteran leadership out there. Who knows?

M13, play design? Hut hut hike defenders mauling the backfield, that sort of stuff? LOL

    BBM/ Son,

Incredibly cool moment in Cincinnati today- Dodgers vs Reds.

The Reds TJ Friedl got his first major league hit with a HR today. Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts realized the moment, and asked the fan (a Cincy fan)for the ball back, saying he’d get the fan another ball.

The fan didn’t hesitate, he threw the ball down to Betts who got the ball to the Cincy dugout.

Next inning, Betts gave the fan an autographed bat.

    That is just awesome.

If you’re bad at the POA forget everything else.

Imagine being a kicker like Sanders on a day like today. You have one kick to start the 2nd half, and that is literally all you did all day.

    Hopefully, no duck….

…..it’s going to be a long week!

HOME SAFE AND SOUND!! Got up 5:30 AM. Walked dogs in total darkness. Kissed wife good-bye and was on I-75 south by 6:40. Drove over 600 miles round trip, including about 6-8 miles to find Young Stanger’s parked car. –WHAT an adventure!!

BTW, in all the dozens and dozens of times I’ve driven from north of Tampa to the Stadiumk, today was the first time I’ve seen a HUGE Gator on the portion of I-75 known as “Alligator Alley!” About 20 miles East of the toll station near Naples was this dead 9-Foot Gator laying on the side of the paved road with his head looking like it had been run over by a Mack Truck. I’m REAL sure the truck took some serious damage from hitting this beast!! Damn hard to see this dark green monsters in the night time in time to avoid hitting them. Thankfully my Honda Accord Sport wasn’t involved in this one!! (make that “monster.”)

Turned on WQAM for their post game show. The FIRST thing said by one of the commentators was “WHAT an ATROCIOUS PERFORMANCE BY OUR OFFENSIVE LINE–ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE!!!!!” I listened to the back-and-forth for about 15 minutes, then I turned it off. Could not take any more of it. My impression, after the New England game, was that our O-Line woes had been somewhat addressed. – – – WRONG, Tonto!!! – – – WE STILL have fatal flaws in our offensive line that need to be fixed!! Seems like our GM is STILL part of the problem, NOT part of the solution to our decade long search to build a “Not so offensive” O-Line. WE DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT GUYS YET!!! And, until we DO have MORE of the “Right Guys,” we WON’T be winning, or even getting to, the PLAYOFFS. I FEEL SORRY foe ANY QB who has to play behind this unit for an entire game!!

GOTTA walk the Greyhound and get some shut-eye. My thanks to Young Stanger for another neat day that WAS NOT totally ruined by this horrid football performance. Sleep well, John.
