2022 Miami Dolphins Schedule

So now the mystery is revealed, the 2022 NFL Schedule has finally been released. By the amount of “Prime Time” games the Dolphins have received, 3, it appears the NFL schedulers don’t believe the Dolphins are a top tier team. The Dolphins do get a Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy Week 4 (September 29th) for PT game #1. The Pittsburgh Steelers will visit the Dolphins for a Sunday Night matchup Week 7 for PT game #2 (October 23rd). The Dolphins final prime time appearance will be Christmas Day, home against the Packers. There’s another theory floating about that the Dolphins get a bit of a slap in the face, specifically Dolphins owner Steve Ross, for the whole Brian Flores’ lawsuit fiasco, and of course the tanking controversy that comes with it. I’d love to think it it’s the latter rather than the former, but we’ll likely never know.

I’m surprised and disappointed the Dolphins only get 3 prime time games, considering the Chicago Bears also get 3. I was shocked to find out this morning as I listened to WQAM as weekly guest Mike Florio from PFT agreed the Dolphins should have more prime time appearances. If Mike Florio says the Dolphins should get more respect, rest assured we should get more respect!Moving on from prime time games, we face FOUR Prime Time teams in a row. We will host the Patriots Week 1, then travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens. We go back home to face the Bills, who we just have not belonged on the same playing field with. Then we travel to Cincinnati to face the Super Bowl runner up Bengals. That’s a tough stretch right there.

In Week 13, we start our second tough stretch with 3 road games starting with the a West Coast trip to San Francisco to play Darlene’s 49ers. We stay on the West Coast in Cali to play to the Chargers in Los Angeles in Week 14. Then back to the East Coast to face our nemesis and division rival in the cold climes of Upstate NY to face the Bills. Then we face the Green Bay Packers for a toasty warm Christmas Day matchup. Then up north again to meet up with the Patriots in Foxboro on New Year’s Day. The season finale will be at home against the New York Jets.

I think those two tough stretches will define this team. Will HC Mike McDaniel be able to start strong facing four very formidable opponents right out of the gate? The middle of the season may provide a little relief with the Lions, Bears, Browns and Texans, but we will need to be in good enough shape at that juncture to be a playoff team, we can’t be 1-5 or 2-4, because the schedule gets pretty tough right after that facing the Niners, Bolts, Bills and Packers, and then a tough matchup against the new and improved Jets for the finale.

Let the Fest deliberations begin!

Again why take some kind of action because this event happened and not others?

      We need to prioritize

If you want to take action to prevent these types of shooting, then a good starting place would be to start with mental health, another place would be to kick the media in the ass

Stanger politicized it when he posted it here

Do you think he randomly picked that one?

Should be obvious no one wants any mass shooting

      YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
      TAKE THAT, JOHN TAVARES!!!!!!!!!
BOLTS WIN when many in the media said “No Chance against the Leafs!”
      —————————-
Now the sobering reality. Brayden Point, the NHL’s leading playoff goal scorer over the last 5 seasons with 38 playoff goals, is likely DONE FOR THE SEASON!!
      AND NOW FOR THE KICKER:
ANYONE WHO UNDERESTIMATES THIS LIGHTNING TEAM IS AN IDIOT!!
Two seasons ago, the Bolts won with Stamkos missing nearly ALL of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Last year, and much of this season, too, Kucherov missed much of the season. In fact, he didn’t look very good tonight, either. Yet they found a way TO WIN.
      —————————
VASELEVSKIY had, for him, a below average regular season and a below average playoff season UNTIL TONIGHT. Tonight, he stepped up and limited one of the top scoring teams in the NHL to ONE GOAL IN THEIR OWN BUILDING!!–He found a way TO WIN.
      ————————–
Need I remind the skeptics that THIS IS A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER TEAM?? – – APPARENTLY THE ANSWER IS “YES!” One of the early lines already has the Florida Panthers strongly favored to eliminate the Lightning in the next rounds of the playoffs. But, as Lee Corso might say “NOT SO FAST, MY FRIEND!” Indeed, the Bolts beat the Panthers in last year’s playoffs, even though the Panthers were the higher-ranked and favored team with the home ice advantage!!!
      —————————–
As Leafs’ fans already know, history is a VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR. Indeed, athe Leafs’ playoff JINX will continue for yet ANOTHER SEASON (all you puck-heads got that???)!! So, despite the Florida Panthers impressive regular season, DON’T BE SURPRISED IF THE LIGHTNING find a way to win yet ANOTHER SERIES IN WHICH THEY WERE THE UNDERDOGS!!
      —————————
Time for Bolts’ fans to do just a little bit of celebrating, eh???

Since when is the president of the US in charge of the supply of baby formula?
Didn’t we all just start hearing of this?
I have a new baby grandson. I am on the front lines of this. My family did not know there was an impending shortage until it hit.
Weren’t you surprised by the sudden shortage of toilet paper during the COVID crisis?
Was Trump guilty of not noticing that toilet paper shelves were going to come up empty?
Such strange anomalies always catch us off guard. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be anything.

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

I think the last sentence is why Biden is blamed. The perception that he (his executive agencies) are in the way of a solution. Supply chain is also an issue and also blamed on current policies.

“The shortage can be traced back to a contamination problem at an Abbott factory that produces much of the Similac formula, as well as several other brands, for the US market, Abbott voluntarily shut down the factory in February, amid consumer complaints about contaminated formula that was linked to two infant deaths. As of mid-May, it’s still not up and running again. As Politico reported this week, it’s not exactly clear why Abbott and the FDA have failed to come to an agreement that would allow the plant to resume producing formula and help alleviate the shortage.”

      • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

        That is my understanding also.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

That’s a good way to describe it Phish

And you can say that across the board not just with baby formula but with other supply chain issues too

But another layer to it is the overwhelming effect one company can have on the distribution of goods in the US – and that screams dangerous monopoly to me.

One factory shutting down having this kind of effect is probably the result of one company having so much control over the industry

larger companies crushing smaller companies is the result of decades of trickle down economics as recently as the 2017 tax cut. That’s actually what they use their new resources for. Sure they create jobs if/when they grow, they also hurt other small business

The federal govt should be able to shut down a contaminated factory linked to infant deaths without it crushing an entire industry – but they can’t bc abbot is the only one doing it

      —————
I know they have tons of baby formula and excess stock on pallets at the border for Illegals. People just need to fly down there and ask for some. Just be sure to tell them you are NOT a citizen or else they may turn you away and tell you to put that baby back on the titty.

  23. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Watching other NFL QBs, the one thing I’ve noticed for years is the great majority of them throw a lot of wobbly passes, Tua isn’t one of them, his passes in general are quite crisp, with tight spirals, a very pretty pass

Sure some of his passes come up short at times, but in general I think he tries to put touch on the ball more than he cares about throwing the fast ball

After all the position is QB, and not thrower

The video above, that Hill put out (Ken posted), shows he can put some mustard on them

This is a similar scheduling advantage, that the league gave the Rams last year and why I said, the NFL wants Rams to win the 2021 SB

The Buffalo Bills. Buffalo emerged from the schedule release with a plus-13-day net rest differential relative to its opponents, best in the league. The Bills face zero opponents off a bye. This is a small — but meaningful — factor in projecting the season! Honorable mention: the Lions, who have a plus-11-day differential.

    Then we have this genius

Which late-season matchup will have playoff implications?

Fowler: Patriots at Bills, Week 18. That New England travels to Buffalo for the season finale feels fitting. New England returns to the scene where it threw the ball three times in gusting winds and still somehow controlled the game. Though last year’s Bills broke through with back-to-back wins over the Patriots (including playoffs), the Patriots have caused them problems over the years and could do the same here with playoff positioning on the line.

What is the benfit to aarp? I don’t even know what they do?
    ——————-
What I have heard is AARP gets you discounts at various places and you can earn points. Membership is real cheap I think due to probably 40mil+ members. They supposedly address issues for the 50+ age group. They say they are bipartisan and don’t give money to politicians or political groups/parties but then they spend MANY millions on lobbyists. So there’s that. Don’t know anything about what issues they pay lobbyists for. I would imagine if you join, you probably get tons of life insurance spam mail.

I am retired military so I take advantage of those discounts and have great insurance so I have no interest in AARP.

Tua, the first half of last year, had all of his highlight plays on quick hitting first read throws, so if the play was there he was pretty good at making the play as called. The problem was after the D adjusted and took away a lot of those easy plays he struggled with his progressions for various reasons.

Second half of the season he was much better going through the progressions, but still needs a lot of improvement/help. Part of the problem was the time to throw, then the separation of the receivers, so the Os struggles became his struggles.

His throws are so compact and accurate, that he’s really hard to stop on these bread and butter type of plays, but that can only take us so far.

With added time to throw and the Cheetah effect we’ll score more points, even if he stays the same, so this make or break year BS the media keeps putting out there is just that.

Getting to the playoffs wont change anything about him being our franchise QB, what will is how he plays in the post season.

To win in the playoffs in close games, Tua will need to be able to adlib in crunch time, he currently just runs in those situations, while Herbert and Burrow are looking to throw downfield

    • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

This is a really good analysis.
But how does it relate to 2022?
I still can’t figure out how to factor in the run game improvements.
Or even how much we’ll run it, and if it will be a significant proportion.
Last year we threw it almost 6 out of 10 plays,
seems like a lot, but that is just one throw more than half the time.
Are we going to run the ball 60/40 now?
(again, that is only one more run than half the time)
      Will that help Tua?
With all that speed and talent in the WR room,
would it be stupid to not throw a higher percentage than run?
I just can’t figure out what we’ll do.

The pictures of pallets shown on Fox are obviously not baby formula.
The product clearly is labeled NIDO, which is a brand name of powdered milk
intended for toddlers through elementary school children, not babies.
It is made by a Swiss company, Nestle, that also makes chocolate products for kids.
There are no refrigerators in the desert at the border to keep milk cold, so they have powdered milk.
    … …
I am still not in favor of a large welfare pipeline to illegal immigrants.
But the US has a long and admirable reputation all around the world
of not letting children starve in time of great need.
I think our decades of ignoring the systemic economic problems in Latin America is causing the dream of coming to America for millions and also opening the door to China to come in and look like a hero.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Fox tried to pull a fast one with those pics, but am also sure there are some supplies of formula given out to migrants. How could there not be?

      • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Of course they need to keep the babies alive also, but that is not what is causing the shortage. Big Business monopoly in a hissy fit with Govt. bureaucracy is causing it.
        … …
To me, this is why I don’t understand Fox. They could make a very nice editorial against monopolistic mega corporations, which Abbott certainly is, and how they can control a critical infrastructure piece or consumer needed product.
They could even throw in how the FDA is a bureaucratic morass at times that can’t hurry even when babies are at risk.
This is a valid issue that Fox could uncover and serve its audience of good American citizens.
Instead, Fox attempts to make baby formula something the Democrats should not have mismanaged, and then to make it worse, Fox pretends that the problem is illegal aliens, just so they can keep the hot flame of blame on the “Them” getting what should be reserved for “us.”
        … …
I am still against giving free college to every child of illegal immigrants while regular tax paying American citizens must pay enormous amounts of money for college for their kids.
Fox should do a piece on that.
Or how illegals get free food and yet can afford to buy a really nice truck.
I’m even against Affirmative Action, but I’m also against the good ol’ boy network that prolongs racism.

      • New Age's avatar New Age says:

How does the ‘Good ole Boy’ network promote racism? While many of these illegals are Latino, not all of them are but I don’t understand this supposed network in an America that is far more multi-cultural than any other nation on earth. About 20% of legal Americans are Latino and there are many millions of illegals that still abuse our system. Can you explain that network as Asians are the highest earning population in America?

The truth is that we should focus on Americans and protecting our borders…just like the other 179 nations do. What makes them different from us?

I think I read somewhere that Burks has asthma and had an attack and couldn’t catch his breath. Asthma is sometimes triggered, so I hear, by stress, so first day of camp and him being a first rounder and all, could have contributed.
Also by allergies and it’s spring, and maybe they just mowed or some pine pollen got to him or something.
Plus it’s hot and humid at that locale, and the coaches would not want some kid falling out from heat exhaustion on Day 1 … really bad PR, not to mention ppl die from that shit,
so what’s one day of conditioning drills missed compared to that?
Most teams find they need to teach the young men how to take care of their body,

Bevell knows a thing or two about the position. He’s worked with Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson and Trevor Lawrence in his career.

When asked about the most important traits that a quarterback would need in this offense, he picked two that seem to fit Tagovailoa’s skill set, in his mind at least.

“I think really a sense of timing and accuracy would be the first two things that I would say,” Bevell said. “Tua’s got, really, a great feel for both of those. That’s where I would say it starts.”

Bevell also talked up Tagovailoa’s leadership.

“Each guy really has kind of a different set of leadership skills,” he said. “No one’s guy going to be the same, but Tua definitely has it. The No. 1 thing is when you go play well that helps you lead. He’s doing all those other things. He’s working on his game. He’s working on his team. He’s doing all those things to help him be a great leader.”

It’s clear that everyone in the organization is on the same page when it comes to supporting Tagvoailoa as the starter.

Investigators also uncovered other information from search warrants and other methods indicating the alleged shooter was “studying” previous hate attacks and shootings, the official said.
“The evidence that we have uncovered so far makes no mistake that this is an absolute racist hate crime. It will be prosecuted as a hate crime,” he said. “This is someone who has hatred for black people in their heart, soul and mind.”
The owner of a firearms shop in New York told The New York Times that the suspect recently bought a Bushmaster assault weapon. A background check on the suspect at the time showed nothing, Donald told the Times.

“I just can’t believe it. I don’t understand why an 18-year-old would even do this,” he added. “I know I didn’t do anything wrong, but I feel terrible about it.”
The author of the manifesto, who claims to be Payton Gendron, confesses to the attack and describes himself as a fascist, a White supremacist and an anti-Semite.
The author writes about his perceptions of the dwindling size of the White population and claims White people are being replaced by non-Whites in a “White genocide.” This “replacement theory,” once a fringe idea, has recently become a talking point for Fox News’ host Tucker Carlson as well as other prominent conservatives.

Former quarterback Drew Brees is out at NBC after a single season as a studio and game analyst at the network, the New York Post reported on Sunday.

The decision was apparently mutual as Brees preferred calling games over the “Football Night in America” studio show, and NBC soured on his potential as a top-level analyst.

The Post reported that Brees’ shaky first season as an analyst was highlighted by a poor performance in a playoff game, his most important broadcast this past season.

Although Brees, who retired from playing professional football in 2021, will not continue with NBC, he is considered a candidate for the No. 2 spot at Fox if, as expected, former player Greg Olsen is moved up in the broadcast booth to the top game analyst position.

Amazon is also considered a possible place of employment for Brees, who is high up on many of the all-time statistical categories for quarterbacks and is considered one of the greatest ever at his position.

Looking at our defense, Ogbah, Phillips, Van Ginkel and now Ingram off the edge is a deep group. Our interior DL is very solid. Then you have LBs like Baker and now Tindall to add to the DB blitz scheme lead by Brandon Jones and Jevon Holland. Our defense is loaded with talent. Why can’t we just admit that and be cool with it? It’s okay to admit it. We have a lot of talent and continuity on defense even as we add more to it. The defense is our core until the offense matches it. If that happens we’re going to be really happy fans. 🙂

Here, in this example, 1 doesn’t make the Vikes, 2 don’t make the Stealers and 3 don’t make the Browns, so the Vikes would get the nod with 5 attending. It also gives Stanger a list of attendees for each fixture. Seemed like a good idea, but NP if you think it sucks or have it already sussed 😉. Just seemed more logical than voting on the poll but what do I know?

I think it’s a great idea, but likely too late for this year

Think preference would be good too, so Y* could mean I’m available for Vikings and I prefer this game

Vikes Y* Stealers Y Browns Y, available for all 3, but prefer Vikings

Melvin Ingram and Sony Michel are former first round draft picks who have had certified, quantifiable success, by the numbers, in the NFL.

Cheap, aged talent, that’s how you fill out a roster, when you think it’s time to be a contender

With the cap going up next year, no reason not to do it

    Ezekiel @phinsanity32

Imagine a coach saying “hey Melvin Ingram, go give Jaelan Phillips a rest for a few plays”👀

    Let’s take
An updated look at the #Chiefs’ projected draft picks for the 2023 NFL draft following Melvin Ingram’s departure.

  91. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    tooooo late KC
“Taking all of the roster in, it’s pretty clear that outside of Frank Clark (Even though Clark has issues too) there isn’t really a ton to work with. That’s why the Chiefs should still be pursuing free agent defensive end Melvin Ingram. Sure, Ingram wouldn’t come here and be a three-down starter but he’s at least someone who is taken seriously by offenses and can come in on 3rd downs and be that fastball speed rusher you can throw at offenses. In fact, Ingram posted a 76.3 pass-rush grade in 2020 according to PFF which ranked better than any defensive end on the Chiefs roster last season. Ingram simply gives you something you don’t currently have in any of your other defensive ends.

In order for this signing to happen, though, Ingram would need to come down enough on his price. The most likely reason Ingram didn’t sign initially on his visit is because he didn’t like the offer from Kansas City and simply wanted to keep his options open. Matt Verderame of FanSided even went on to say that the visit between K.C. and Ingram “went well” which should make fans feel better that Ingram is still open to the Chiefs.”

Hard to believe a guy would rather go be a sub at Miami than stay with KC for same money.

Here is an excellent and optimistic, happy-to-have-him article about Melvin Ingram with clips and expert analysis of his RUN D. He is highly praised for setting the edge.
*** It’s by the Pittsburgh Steelers writer. ***
This article is about how good Ingram is as a RUN STOPPER.
    He gets lots of TFLs.

  94. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

“Ingram is an instinctual run defender as well, playing assignment-sound football and understands that he has to keep outside contain”

    @PFF_Chiefs
Melvin Ingram has been a huge part of the Chiefs defensive improvement 🗣

Since debuting with the Chiefs in Week 9:

    ♦️ 79.7 PFF Grade (t-11th among Edges)
    ♦️ 86.4 Run Defense Grade (2nd)

    • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

The 3x Pro Bowler has 51 career sacks with 74 TFLs and 119 QB hits. Another good move for Chris Grier and the Phins.

Here’s hoping that he’s suspended for our game and not allowed to return during their bye week in prep for our game, but with my luck, that’s what’ll happen.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

At least their bye is before we play them, if suspended for 9 games we won’t face him

I really like this coaching staff on paper, especially getting some former player favorites back in Welker, Madison, and Surtain. I still can’t believe we got Darrel Bevell as the QB coach. The roster has shaped up and now it’s time to put the talent and the coaching to test on the field. When people look at the schedule and see us, they need to be afraid.

Sb…that’s why it’s important to set the tone early, in the first game against Bills.
